well, believe what you want. i just don't think that whether or not the end of life is near should effect the way we live our lives now, and thus i find it better that we DONT know in advance when an absolutely UNavoidable apocalypse comes to us. but if it IS avoidable, like an asteroid then by all means, we SHOULD know that threat and do all that science can muster up in retaliation of such a threat. In other words, i find it despicable to just accept such a depressing fate.
if anything what will happen is apocalypse-crazed fools will cause riots and chaos and crime in the streets on 2012 but nothing else will happen. just like how EVERY other prophecy has been WRONG these will be as well, that is until an end DOES come and people will INTERPRET that as prophetic truth which it is NOT.
