It's a 1 shot weapon that needs to hit the guy do actually kill him (otherwise he could just run away from it), so no it is NOT a sniper noob tube.

Since with noob tubes, you could just fire it beside the guy and it WOULD kill the enemy.

I like how well balanced the crossbow is. It takes some skill to aim and even if you miss and it hits the wall, the beeping will alert the other player to move in time before it explodes so it won't be as frustrating as the noob tube.
