I live in the UK. My experience has been that people with autism are often offered anti- psychotic drugs and institutionalised. They deteriorate and cannot find their way back into society or fulfill their potential.
It is wonderful to hear someone articulate the vision for people with autism at PROMISE. I wish you every success with all your students and hope the work you do impacts not only the Jamaican community but the world.
