Somaliland should get independence regardless of what happens in other regions of Somalia. Putting it simply so understand; Somaliland used to be called British Somaliland, it gained it's independents from the British and was briefly a sovereign nation until its people decided to unify with Italian Somaliland leading to the creation of Somalia. So Somaliland has solid grounds for secession.

When I visited in 2004 I was suprised to see the sheer numbers of tourists/workers from all over the world; China, Australia, Scandanavia, America you name it. To be honest I was actually I never expected to see that many people from all creeds having a good time in my Motherland, but it was a welcome suprise.

I am from Muqdisho when it was a place humans can live but I love seeing this for our walaalo. I have never been to Somaliland but I am for their independence because it is my independence also. My advice, build a wall and triple your troops size and strength. Keep fighting for peace and freedom.

I also believe that Somaliand should be recognized as a separate state. This, however, does not provide justification for hateful comments like that. Somaliland should get independence regardless of what happens in other regions of Somalia. Putting it simply so understand; Somaliland used to be called British Somaliland, it gained it's independents from the British and was briefly a sovereign nation until its people decided to unify with Italian Somaliland leading to the creation of Somalia. So Somaliland has solid grounds for secession.

@kaisgur Salaamu Alaikum walalo, we need people like you. Who are open minded and think of the future of our nation. Somali people do not have to keep looking at the past, or keep using Kabeel (Tribalism) to justify their arguements. You can see what some people have replied to my comments. Some just resort to swearing, and think of peace as a twisted ideology. Let me just remind some people that many Somali people died in sacrifice of the home land and NEVER will we allow a divided State.

Aye, that part of Somalia is VERY different from the rest. It's quite strange. Mogadishu is a hell but Hargeisa is better.

@PekkaSaauri True Somaliland is a very; safe, peaceful and rapidly developing country. When I visited in 2004 I was suprised to see the sheer numbers of tourists/workers from all over the world; China, Australia, Scandanavia, America you name it. To be honest I was actually I never expected to see that many people from all creeds having a good time in my Motherland, but it was a welcome suprise.
