Where in the Quran does it states that as Muslims you are given the license to kill the non-Muslims? Unless if it's a war, and the life of the Muslims are threatened, then only you can fight back in the name of self-defense. But you don't just go about and kill other people just because they are not in the same religion as you are! These morons are tarnishing the image of Islam.

AL-BAQARA (THE COW) Total Verses: 286

Revealed At: MADINA

SHAKIR: And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.

But, I will explain that you must read all the previous verse before you go to that verse, that's why terorist using that verse regularly, because they dont read all the verses.

I'll explain, first i'll clarify the verse meaning, there's some mistake in that verse.

Al-Baqarah verse 191:

And kill the, whereever you find, and drive them from where you drove out. And fitnah (Fitnah=when you say something that not right and abusing about another person and spread it to anyone else) is more cruel than killing. And do not war with them at Masjidil Haram (Name of city in arab). If they attack you first in that palace, than you can kill em. That's the compensation of Kafir.

This verse is actually about FASTING and the problem, not about killing other person like the meaning of the verse as one entity.

(Fasting = not eating,drinking and not doing anything that forbid, in the month of Ramadhan).

The verse show that Fitnah is forbid and have the same sin as killing. And from the previous verse, you can read the story as a whole.

AL-Baqarah 190: And war by you in the way of god, to them that declare war at you. Actually, Allah don't like people that breaking the limit.

The war in both verses is about war with any wrongdoing in the month of Ramadhan. It's not war with other person, but war with our self as we behave. As a moslem, we must behave positively, especially in Ramadhan. Don't war or even just angry at other people. War is allowed if we defend ourself, not if we attack others.
