It's important to make a distinction between the clergy & the Church. The clergy are not the Church, they're just the officer class.

If you follow your priest's or your bishop's teaching, you are okay unless you know they are wrong. You can know they are wrong by having an informed conscience.

If you go by the MORAL teaching of the Pope you'll generally be safe.

One comment: while DOCTRINES and DOGMAS (like the Real Presence and the male-only priesthood) must be believed to be a Roman Catholic, there are certain DISCIPLINES (like clerical celibacy) that CAN be disagreed with and even challenged. Rev. 8:3-5 "...there was given to him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints". look up (intercession). @TheJazuma Actually, the Orthodox, our brothers in Christ, also have at least the deuterocanon, and usually more books. Now, since every Bible from about 400 AD to Protestantism contained AT LEAST the Deuterocanon, it seems to me that the Protestants do not even have the Bible of the minimalists (us, who have the fewest books of any Catholic or Orthodox canon). So if they do not even have THAT much of the Bible, how can they claim they have the fullness of truth?

No other church would have me, given my views on the centrality of the eucharist and the real presence of Jesus, ordination of women, Mary, and purgatory. That's why I'm Catholic. I also believe that while the church is made up of flawed people who have said some flawed things, it was indeed founded by Jesus and has apostolic authority.

It basically means that even at the worst of times when Church leaders may have made mistakes like all leaders and all humans do, Church doctrine never changed and no one stooped so low as to give false teaching. Very good video! I know that the Catholic church is very pro life, but I feel that it should be up to the married couple to decide if they want to have children with out being forced to an obligation. Married couples should not feel guilty about sex, if they have no entension to have children as they much be ready for such a commitment and financially able to afford it too.

@patsaxon I understand what you say, but to me if you get married, it's because you have the project to build a family, so you should be ready for it, marriage is not only about love, it's about life, you have to be ready for it, you don't just get married cause you're in love. And building a family is one of the aspects of marriage, I think if you're not ready for that, you're not really ready to get married. (it's only my pov)
