Wow. This brings back childhood memories. I have the real episode on VHS somewhere in my house and was amazed to find I still knew half the words. There were two coaches in the original if I recall correctly. Nice re-make though.

Since I filmed and edited this video and it does not compete with the actual series, I won, so the ads were taken down and this is technically my video.

I am on holiday with my 2 year old son and we found this to watch. At first I thought it was the actual broadcast episode from 1984 as I didn't read your description closely. You had me fooled...although I did think it looked KIND of primitive. But brilliant!

My goal was to just try and reenact the original episode with some old toys I had, so that's why it's so primitive. :)

Why dont you start with bachmann or hornby. The idea is great, but to be fair i dont like the TOMY thomas ranges.With bachmann or hornby you wont need to use strings . :)

@JesusBlack14 Although that's true, I didn't have a lot of Bachmann or Hornby Thomas items to begin with. It would mean spending thousands of dollars on engines, rolling stock and track and it also would have taken a lot more time to get all that stuff, so I just went with my TOMY trains. Besides, I wanted to use them anyway. In my opinion, using model trains wouldn't have made the remake that much better. I like it the way it is. :)

@msnede The individual sets didn't take very long to set-up, but there were many of them, and I wasn't able to work on them everyday. I also wasn't able to film and edit everyday, so this remake took several months to finish.
