@E3iteB0unc3r45 sry i was having a bad day when i posted the earlier comment. The part I believe you are trying to play is, as far as i can tell, a G-arpeggio. Basically, the root (G) the third (B) the fifth (D), and the root, or octave, again (G), in a little pattern. That probably doesn't make sense, but that's the best explanation you'll get.
@cmonneah Its ok and thanks i dont understand what your saying but i labeled my piano the day i got it and I will write down what notes you played and where to play it. Ok thanx again
@NoUnboundFreedom haha no, that would have been a good joke. I said "basically" when referring to the base clef, like base-ically, and laughed about it on camera, so it had to be removed.
Thanks for putting this tutorial up man, I really appreciate it. It truely helped alot. Most of the other videos on here eather dont have a good camera angle or the video quality/their explanation is horrible, but yours was great.
This is a good tutorial. Thank you. But could you also add the notes in the info box, please? Like [ B-D, G, F#]... or however you would write them? Thanks!
@Mcheetah honestly man if you watch the video all the notes should be said out loud and in order, and if you right them down as you hear them hopefully that will be enough. But lemme know if that doesn't help. Thx
the first part, the melody i guess is played on a melodica, and i dunno why, but it bugs me when people play it on piano because theres piano playing in the background while the melody plays
but still, all of that aside, great video, the first AND second part, its easy to understand and very educational and all that jazz
This might sound weird, but I love your fingers. You have a muscician's hand. People don't get that sometimes they suck at playing an instrument not because they don't have the skill to learn but because they don't have the hands. That sounds cheesy but I should know cuz I play the cello and I have tiny hands. (so sad...)
lets take c major, for an example. An arpeggio is the root, third, fifth, and octave of a key, escalating up or down the keyboard. So it would be C (root), E (third), G (fifth), and C again (octave) etc. hope that made sense, prob didnt.
Thanks so much, this was the best tutorial i've ever seen by far. Its very easy to follow and it took me like 15 mins to master even though i really dont play the piano that good.
i dont think so... it's the root, third, fifth, and octave, im nearly sure. But don't think it's every other whole note (That'd be G, B, D, F ~almost right)
thanks dude, i just got a piano and i wanted to play this song and these tow vids were really helpful. good luck on that three parts all together thing. thanks again
Great Tutorial. I need some help though. I can play the whole song and I can play the Bass separately and the main part separately but I cant seem to play them both at the same time synchronized even at a really really slow tempo. Could you please help me?
any time i've encountered a tough rhythm, I've just had to break it down + slow it down. You have to get so good that you can play a part without thinking about it (while watching tv, while talking, etc). What I've found helpful is to mix up the rhythm for one part (like "jazz up" the right hand part) just so you can get as comfortable as possible with the notes, which in turn makes it easier to incorporate other hands/rhythms. Some rhythms come easily, some don't. Also try a metronome.
yeah it was supposed to have something to do with the bad joke that had been removed... but windows movie maker has a lot lag. I don't recommend using it
i think i just searched the internet, and did some by ear... there is a YouTube video I found once that had the sheet music displayed, you can probably still find it. Good luck
Nice!!! Now i can play it and its all thanks to you! :-) I love the part when your playing bass and you go to pick up the camera then set it back down :-p What was the bad joke? And thanks both these videos are amazing!!
your piano sounds great. i have a really old out of tune Whitney Kimball and even if i play i right it sounds "iffy". thanks for the tutorial though. 5/5

How can you get your hands to play the two different parts at once? Practice? Is there some secret or something? I always get choked up when i try to do both parts
To break up the bass you could use chord variations if you wanted.
