Easterlings, haradrim,Men from Umbar,The Black Corsair pirates,The Wildmen of Dunland,The Blackwolds,The Rhudauran Hillmen,The Black numenoreans,Just some of thE men fighting for Sauron and the enemy
This mod is not bad, but I think that they failed with choosing Haradrim names (they should sound more Arabic/Persian/whatever) and I hate how they depicted Easterlings- I have always imagined them as like ancient and medieval steppe peoples from Asia- Skythians, Sarmatians, Huns, Mongols, Tatars... But not like ancient German tribes!!! :x
@Herpkid56 I know this comment is 1 year old (stop with those excuses), but this mod is based on the books, not the movies. The Easterlings you saw were from the movies.
the easterlings appear in return of the king too, when the gate of minas tirith is destroyed when you see the orcs click pause, and you can see an easterling helmet on the back
I'm pretty sure they're not. The Haradrim are from the southern lands of M.E. They were in Return of the king riding mumakil and shit. They kind of lok the same, so it's easy to mix the two up I suppose
Someone at WETA managed to base the movie Easterlings on the Haradrim - they're wearing the golden armour of the Southrons, and they even carry their black serpent banner! FATW is based on the written word of J.R.R. Tolkien, not what some overworked WETA designer mistakenly came up with.
I thought the films could have shown more of the dark men's forces...for example in the battle in pelannor fields...the main force in the film was orks and som harad...but i wanted to see hords of easterlings of rhun among the ranks..as well as men of far harad and khand...the books explain in detail and its staggering...the film did a great job..and it was an epic battle....more dunedain of arnor should have been shown as well alongside aragorn
No they were NOT easterlings: they were Haradrim, which you should know by their looks. Moreover they came marching up from the south even in the movie so....def Haradrim.
This is awesome

=( sadface. If you can remember from the two towers film, the men of rhun looked a little more fierce than these pansies. =/
xZenetothx 3 years ago
You saw no easterlings in the movies.
Istojataachatearme 3 years ago
Indeed you did. Perfect example, LOTR two towers, go to the scene where frodo and sam are at the black gate. Men marching = easterlings. ^_^

Wheren't those from Harad?
