Looks tasty & pretty. I want that glass teapot too! Haiying, i found a great tea shop, (Memphis) called Teavana. Have you heard of it? I thought about you when i saw the flower bud selection there.
@sunflowernoo me too! They have a vast selection of the best teas! @yanghaiying If you go to Teavana, they offer a free tea handbook that talks about tea, like "Don't throw your tea after your first brewing. After you use it, dry it and use it within the next 24 hours...". Ask if one near you has the handbook. That's how I know how to decaffeinate tea.
@sunflowernoo Yes, it is a nice tea shop. Unfortunately their salespeople practice hard-sell tactics and their products are overpriced. These are common complaints about this chain. I agree with them. They push so hard to sell you things that it gets uncomfortable just being in the store.
@chisaoboy You're right. When i first found Teavana there were salesmen outside giving out samples of the tea. I will be back occasionally to buy tea from the shop, but there is no way i can buy tea there on a regular basis. It's too expensive like you said. I regularly buy tea from the grocery store, but we also have a herbal store that's reasonably priced.
@yanghaiying I would use a macro lens, perhaps 1-2 lights in softboxes, and some black card maybe behind and to one side, with also possibly a reflector somewhere. I'd have to play around with the setup to ultimately shoot it, but it would be really cool. That teapot is perfect though, and those leaves/flowers are as well.
@yanghaiying No worries....is it possible to buy that exact tea kettle and the tea itself online? I have a photography website and a blog, and would love to do a how-to on it.
My dear Yanghaiying... here you have created one of your most--if not the most--relaxing of all your tea videos. I will be enjoying this one many times. Thank you for your soft and gentle, calming voice... your unhurried pace... and your wonderful gentleness.
Haiying, dear friend, this crysanthemum tea is such a delicate color and looks wonderful. I have watched you make tea for a long time but have only recently subscribed. I enjoy tea so much, but have been told I should no longer have caffeine. I drink several herbal blends, but very much enjoy green tea. I have found only one green decaffeinated that tastes good. Do you have any recommendations for green teas without caffeine? Thank you for sharing your life.
@yanghaiying Decaffeinate is... for example if you drink too much coffee or tea or eat too much chocolate, you become too hyper or too awake... he needs tea that doesn't make you do that.
@yanghaiying To tell you the truth, that's basically how they do it. They just wash it in lukewarm to cool water (depending on the kind of tea) for more or less 30 secs. Then they make it sound more complicated so they would have a good reason to give a higher price.
I love the way this teapot displays the leaves (or in this case flowers) so beautifully.
I'll have to buy it from your shop.

One of the best parts of your tea videos--for me, at least--is the sound of you pouring the water over the tea! Such a nice sound!

Je serais curiseuse de gouter ça! Pour moi, les Chrysanthèmes, je ne les vois qu'en octobre, dans les cimetières :]

@sunflowernoo Go there now! They're having a huge sale to get rid of the old ones from 2011. Their $2 teas are mostly sold out now!
