Hormones are tricky and hard to predict. Some patients do very well with estrogen while others don't. Others respond very well to progesterone while it can trigger IC flares in others. I think it's really about experimentation... trying variations to see what, if anything, is provoking your symptoms.
I have had no problems at all with the change, I just think that they think with estrogen might help with ic symptoms. I had my first child at 40. So you think estrogen they put me on could be me have a ic flare.

What do you feel about ic with no period, I have not had a period for two years and my gyno, wants to try hormone replacement which I am trying, just your response, because I a flare when started hormones, but I think it is all a catch 22 dryness, I am 46.
@TheVhite Hormones are tricky and hard to predict.. but you wouldn't be the first to state that they flared after trying a new hormone that's for sure.
I have just been diagnosed with IC (yesterday) I am 27 y/o and also have endometriosis and had a complete /total hysterectomy 6 months ago. I take estrogen to prevent menopause. I was wondering what effect, if any, could taking estrogen rather that having natural have on IC?

Have any birth control pills been helpful to IC patients? If yes, which ones? Thank you so very much for your videos.
