I'm an aspie, I'm really glad is video was made. I think we are angry because we're not in control of our culture. We're intelligent, usually perceptive about what interests us (like everyone else.) However, we do not have magic powers and we are disrespected because we are trying to fit our triangle lives into rectangle societies. Aspies need to be united, and financially secure if we are to gain true freedom. This is a good video, because it helps unite us. Plus, it's really funny!

Autistic kids would like to say they are humans like any other and sometimes they´d like to pay, but they can´t find a way. It was not a video game or a bullying they made them autistic; they just did not find a way " out". I believe it´s time to speak for those who cannot speak, but woud like to.

@TheSushisnake Yes, I have found it is probably better to read about them or watch/listen to what others have to say about them than actually watch their adverts. Some of their adverts have caused my blood pressure to go completely bonkers. If you can still find it on YouTube, there is an actual AutTV channel out there that has a few videos which present a more fact-based explanation of how we feel about Autism Speaks and why.

I just had my 33rd B-day in Feb.(02/27/77). & THANK YOU VERY MUCH for speaking out. I have been wondering for the past 2 or so years if I might be Autistic. Only one other family member (Aunts Son) has been diagnosed for AUTism. But my Aunt (the same one) assured to me that WE (family) do have a learning disorder.

Funnily enough, when I saw the film (Up In Smoke, which I highly recommend), that was the first thing that came to mind. I would like to just tie Suzanne Wright into a chair, force her eyes open, and make her watch that one fragment of footage over and over until she is screaming to be let back up again.

I think she might like it. She has that look in her eyes- - saw her personally once, face to face - that she doesn't appreciate 'nice'. She's quite a woman, very strong and powerful. I don't think softly-softly will even register for her lol :-) (I was introduced to her and she smiled but as soon as she heard I was autistic she just walked off, no good-bye, nothing. like I wasn't even a person. No. I said that if I were not autistic, I quite likely would not have purchased this iMac. Nothing more, nothing less.
