Air Arms s200, nice choice, i have the exact same. Tough as old boots, i've replaced the plastic trigger with a brass one, and maybe might change the bolt to brass.

i wanted to get something like a rws 34 or 34p or a sheridan silver streak if not both, and some pistol, i was thinking about a crossman 177c but i wanted to hunt with them are they powerful enough to kill things like rabbits? (i know rws is but 1477c and sheridan are questionable)

do you not do well with the mag because you always have that black hole in the centre of the beam? that makes the mag next to useless.get half a dozen standard bulbs try each in the mag against a wall on beam, you will find one that gives you the uninterupted beam then you'v got a big bore of light 100mtrs plus to wack those buns

True thermal & ir are the way but most of us air gunners in the uk can't afford thousands of ££ to wack rabbits & foxes.I do use an ir monocular 2 find them, then turn on with a red fillter which does'nt scare them.Sure it's not a new thing & gun makersdon't offer it but loads of us air gunners have imitated the idea and bits are readily available it works a treat.I don't want 2 b the lamper i want 2 do the shooting by myself.had a ir scope but a street lamp soon burnt that out.
The 2 c cell maglite is no heavier than the 3-9 scope shown. The rechargeable batteries weigh a fifth of ordinary alkaline ones. Because the light is under the stock, the gun balences nicely and isn't top heavy as with other lights. I suppose the real weight is decided by the airgun you choose. My lad was 16 when this video was recorded, he and his friends shoot for hours at night with no problems.

I have a .22 CZ rimmy and a Ruger .17HMR rimmy. I also have a .20 Theoben Olympus and shotguns. I `ve been shooting airguns for 30 years plus and I wouldn`t bother with FAC airguns. I know several shots who have FAC rated airguns (almost always Theoben, incidentally), and they are shooting at about 80 metres max but they will only shoot rabbits with the air gun at this range. You will get a lot more for your money if you go rimfire. The rimfire rifle is also much easier to maintain. Good luck!

You`re welcome. I bought a Ruger 77/17 which cost £675- but there are plenty of alternatives at about half that price ,such as the CZ range- around £325 new or there seem to be some very nice 2nd hand rifle/ combo`s! I have fitted a Leupold 6.5-20 x 40 scope (middle of the range - cost around £500). The rifle is absolutely great. I have set the scope @ 100 metres and shooting at lesser or greater distances is very simple, as the round is so light and fast. Sub 1" groups @ 200 metres!
the ground is a safe place for the barrel of an air-gun, and most hunters that know what they are doing have a strip of duck tape on the end of the barrel to keep dirt and water from entering.
no probs, the torch can be fitted together with a swivel, extendable 15" bipod nothing gets in the way,plus you don'nt have to move to look over the gun i too take cover in the grass waiting to bag a bun. have'nt been as sucessfull as you though. good hunting
nice vid mate, what if im shooting in ankle length grass, lieing down using a bi-pod? the pod is gunna obstruct the light beam isnt it? where as if you have a top mounted light you clear the grass and arent encumbered by the support....?
p.s. i was out lamping last night and got 27 bunnies and a cat with the rifle, 5 phes in the with a shotgun, and we took our harris hawks with us, they got 5 rabbits between them, brill night, we were only out for 3 hours :)
Well mate airsoft is using air to shoot a pellet or bb's wich is the same as using a blow pipe you use air instead the gun produces the air for you making it legal using live ammo such as bullets that means using gun powder and is more likly to kill someone!!!

I use a Yukon 1X mag night sight fitted to the back of the scope with two seperate IR illuminators, one is a 12 V system that wires down into my pocket.
I also have a SWAT force light on the rifle, (Pressure switch), so I can 'LAMP'.
Complete darkness Nothing can see me but I see all up to 9X magnification.
Still, I would like an inproved light for lamping rabbits.

Got one, fitted it, its light easy to use, only thing I upgraded was the bulb in the maglite, quit the negative comments, how can ya comment on something you have not tried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me n me mate decided to try this system. I've a Falcon Prairie he has a FX 2000. It was fairly easy to fit n it works a treat. Was glad to get rid of my old Deben gear n the wires that went with it. Have wacked loadsa bunnies n it's crackin for ratting!

this is an excellent lighting system but the onwly downside is that unlike with scope mounted lamps you can't fit this system to a breakbarrel.

I use a Yukon 1X mag night sight fitted to the back of the scope with two seperate IR illuminators, one is a 12 V system that wires down into my pocket.
I also have a SWAT force light on the rifle, (Pressure switch), so I can 'LAMP'.
Complete darkness Nothing can see me but I see all up to 9X magnification.
Still, I would like an inproved light for lamping rabbits.

I tried the rubber &duct tape to my rifle but it took the varnish off the stock it worked to a degree.Bought the pro-file system at the C,L.A. game fair sept last year, fitted it works brill. in fact because of how it fits idont bother to take it off that way when i go into the barns in daylight hours i ve instantly got light to get the ferrells in the beams

Your right on the money there michael. A mate of mine here in England shoots F class long range target using 7mm BooBoo rounds. Not exactly small bore and accurate to over 1000m in the right hands. We can get pretty much any bolt action rifle with the appropriate license.

Got one, fitted it, its light easy to use, only thing I upgraded was the bulb in the maglite, quit the negative comments, how can ya comment on something you have not tried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me n me mate decided to try this system. I've a Falcon Prairie he has a FX 2000. It was fairly easy to fit n it works a treat. Was glad to get rid of my old Deben gear n the wires that went with it. Have wacked loadsa bunnies n it's crackin for ratting!
