@BoddhasServants Regardless of wetter they were influenced by Incubus or not, there is a major difference between blunt wannabe, and influence and inspiration.
Hoobastank is/was friends with Incubus. They grew up in the same neighborhood, listened to the same music (i.e. Mr. Bungle), and have a similar sound. Both bands rock!
@akaKakashiFanatic you know, some of these songs could have used the sax. Especially this one in the bridge. Wasser could have beefed up the harmonies, and even though this album is alternative rock music, you can tell is has a little jazz influence. The sax could have worked and helped. It's a shame they kicked him out of the band.
The sax, to me, was the backbone of their music, really added some spice to their music. Loved the saxophone sections in "..Basketball Shorts..." and "Forward".
