There's a sequel "Project Origin" that takes place after the FIRST original F.e.a.r game, all the expansion (including this one) doesn't matter/didn't happen in the sequel.

No, it STARTS around the same time the first game ends, and both games feature a nuclear explosion. The nuke in the beginning of F.E.A.R. 2 is the same one seen at the end of the first game.
