  • you know how many times I've wanted to do that lol

  • Too bad people who go to Southern can actually spell.

  • if you throw a ball at a kid you fucked up in the head... and deserve death

  • What an a-hole!!!!! These girls are big and in great shape .... I hope one of these days some girl beats the crap out of him in front of the whole gym. I'm sure everone would be applauding.

  • she should of been in the kitchen

  • Wow seems alot like my coach

  • smart itll teach that bitch to get it over next time

  • everyone is overreacting

  • To bad southern is stupid

  • ok im not sure but did anyone else hear that chick start to say "He gets kicked out every ti--"

  • Did he throw it at his OWN PLAYER? Not only did he deserve getting thrown out of the game, but I would have removed him from that team for something like that. Completely uncalled for, completely unsportsmanlike, and completely unacceptable in civilized society of any sort. He should be ashamed of himself.

  • nigger lol

  • @ktrendz08..because of your response, i know u are not 1) a doctor or nurse; 2) a lawyer! Only someone with little knowledge of how easy a head injury can result in death, let alone a migrain or minor bump!! u are the type to stand crying at the judges's sentencing for accidently or intentionally, causing a death. U have been lucky with your so called punches to not have been charged for battery/A. Im glad I dont have to treat "DUMMIES" like u in my ER!!

  • @ballershanelle because of your response, I know that you are not 1) a volleyball player 2) someone who uses common sense. How many injuries have you heard of someone getting packed (that's getting hit in the face for you non-volleyball players) and getting a serious injury? Think before you claim that playing volleyball could result in someone's death. Idiot.

  • one shot to the temple just right and its concussion or death!! he is so lucky she didnt just fall out.. manslaughter or assualt?

  • @ballershanelle Are you retarded?!!?? It's a volleyball!! I've packed guys in the face 20x harder than that! No one is going to get a concussion from a volleyball being thrown, let alone die!!

  • @ballershanelle lol you would never ever die by getting hit in the face with a volleyball

  • On my job with an ancient, female, fellow supervisor - wacked my knuckles with a ruler because i couldnt understand what she needed me to learn in just one training, at her office!! Ooh, i deal with lots of govt money! cant be fuked up!! Well, i almost did a popeye anger toot!! lmao..I spoke sternly & loud: "never put your hands on me again. How dare u!" I walked out, awol! She offered an apology. We have a zero tolerence policy & i should've called 911

  • its only wrong cuz hes a man, and his target is a young teen girl. if it was another man whoed done that to it would be no big deal

  • I sustained a bad head injury once playing volleyball. Someone spiked it hard and it hit me in the face. It threw my neck out of place and it hurt so bad I was out of volleyball for a month. Getting hit in the head with a volleyball can really be serious.

  • yes he did but the girl that got hit laughed it off us at southern are so close things like this happen

  • BOOM HEADSHOT!

  • 0:08 sec is when it is. at the back left (thumbs up so people can see)

  • The man is obviously a loser. A good teacher encourages rather than demeans.

  • Fine. It was an accident. But, if he did that to my daughter, I'd make it a point to have a conversation with the man that would result in him making another accident in his shorts.

  • yea, but if he didnt mean to do it, why the hell did he just walk away?

  • That was fuck up!

  • Hahaha.

He didn't throw the ball that hard anyway, the serve they dug was stronger than that. You parents are insane, it isn't that big of a deal. My coach throws ball at my team once in a while in practice, just not in the head. xD

  • @Superdoglac according to rule 2.3.3.2 of the international volleybal rules, this could warant a disqualification . Throwing balls at people (no matter the team) is imho aggression. Ofcourse depending on the circumstances/ref it could be anything between that and rude conduct (in this case the referee thought it to be offensive conduct).

  • HE DIDNT MEAN TO DO IT GUYS! YOUR SO STUPID IF YOU THINK HE MEANT IT. I go to his camps and he is the nicest guy you will ever meet. So if you dont believe me, you surely are an idiot, oh and tjnoff, i dont appreciate the mean comment about Maxwell you shouldnt judge him if you dont know him.

  • Look you peanut heads. Maxwell didnt know he was going to hit the girl. He didnt mean to do it. And if you guys are to stupid to realize that, then go f**ck urself.

  • what a fucking jackass. If that'd been my daughter he'd have hit in the head with that ball, I'd have broken both his fucking hands.

  • Ok. This guy doesn't deserve to be a coach. Yes. He may be a really good coach and a good person, but this was just ridiculous. He did not need to throw a temper just because things didn't go the way he wanted them to. I'm sorry, but I can't support someone that loses his temper over a game. I do play softball and I know how you can get all into it and stuff, but the coach needs to be reminding people that it's just a game and it's nothing to get upset over. It's supposed to be for fun.

  • if you were aiming at the floor/wall, why the flying fuck would you aim at the same direction where SIX kids are standing. it's the other team's ball isn't it? throw to their side. if people are saying he does have a hot temper, then OBVIOUSLY before he could compose himself or think about what an idiotic thing he was about to do, he threw the ball at the player.

  • listen people, i play against southern volleyball. im a student at toms river north and this coach is notorious for him temper. he did this completely on accident because i personally know the coach. his temper never gets this far so will people quit being judgmental and dont judge this man by the video. he is a great coach leading both the mens and womens teams to state championships. leave this man alone.

  • If that was my daughter he would've gotten his ass kicked! I could understand if he got mad and yelled at them of maybe kicked a chair over but to hit a yourng girl in the head with the ball is just plain disrespectful.

  • I agree with the majority of the comments on here! The guy is a duche! BUT! I can see where it was an accident. Have I seen coaches (yes, MANY) overreact and throw things? YES! It just happened to land on a player this time. I very much doubt he meant to throw it at his player. He aplogoized to the players and I'm sure parents as well. I think he could care less of what anyone else thinks, so get over it!

  • ahaha he is my neighbor. this just made my life.<33

  • what a fukin asshole the girls shulda stomed his ass outt

  • haha mr. maxwell funny guy....he ddnt get fired just so you all know. wilhelm is smart

  • I have been attending this school since December of last year, and I had no idea that this had happened.

  • all those "negative" quotes... tsk tsk tsk. im at the middle school now, and i dont see why its such a big deal--- other than where the ball went, but it was an accident. so dont make it sound like a friggin crime. he imediately appologized and was forgiven.if it was me who was hit in the head, i wouldnt care.

  • uuhuhh i am really bored and need some action... Anyone feelin the same way

  • yesterday in lunch i threw a soda can at him and said sorry i was aiming for the wall...he gave me a look than walked away

  • why is everyone so surprised? that is the way couches should teach their students not by only yelling at them but also beating at them!

  • I would have to disagree on this one. I meet this @sshole a few times. I've been coaching for 8 years and the way he coaches is totally disrespectful to the girls and to the game. hope he gets fired for this. He said he was aiming for a the wall!!! WHAT BS!!!

  • Mr.maxwell is the nicest coach ive ever met. one bad thing happens and everyone hates him like WTF. forgive him. he's a great coach

  • THIS GUYS IS A PUNK

  • @gbreppin guhd dfhsu shsw swhf

gftygt hhjhguyg wq A HETRYTRT TYGHGHGYY,./;/JIVIFJGIHOHGHIGJJFJIHGFKFJOFJHIJHGFJDFJRIGUHJDC

  • respect for the girl the way way she reacts, but when this guy iss still in charge, baan this team or colleg. Shame on you man, your on pityfull son of a b.......

  • if that was my sister i'd have beat that guys ass

  • omg mr maxwell i never saw you get mad before. doin it right. <3 laura wilbert & nicole clayton

    (reppin mainsail!)

  • Hey Coach M, damn straight, way to keep your pimp hand strong, dont let them disrespect you

  • @vbyoda He lost control of the ball? Are you his wife? Or him? It is sad that the parents are upset???? What is sad is that psychos like this guy (or you) are coaching high school kids. And men should coach men -- men coaching women at the high school level is always bizarre. Case in point.

  • ElectricSteel77 Sounds like you have some real issues with SRHS. First, I think if you think this is a race issue you barking up the wrong tree. If you or ANY friend , family member would like to attend such a superb district, just move to LBI or Manahawkin. My guess is you are from Barnegat which now has its own school and you are still hurt about that.

  • is he gay or just retarde? i mean the coach

  • Comment removed

  • this guy is an unprofessional, immature, ego-trippin fool who is known to have a temper. Mistake or not he should not have a teaching or coaching job.

  • volleyball is dumb

  • i dont know wat to belive any more!

  • This guy is an idiot. I've coach girls volleyball for about 20 years and i have not seen any of the coaches would do this to any girls. He should never be allow to coach again unil he complete an anger management.

  • ahh bolada de nada!!!

tinha q ser mais forte.. ve ce aprende..

    kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

a sorte dela q é esporte com bola.. ce fosse luta. ela tava fudida kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • ridiculous...

  • me too! :o

  • I don't have time to review all 660+ comments here, so, sorry if this has already been pointed out: This idiot did this to make himself feel better. He did this for selfish reasons because he was frustrated. It was NOT a coaching tool. That player only learned that her coach is a hot-head and nothing more. So you knuckleheads that think it's OK, you're either just trying to stir the pot, or you're cut from the same cloth as this coach. You probably berate your kids instead of encouraging them.

  • @tjnoff well im a player for his team and yeah maybe he does have a bad temper but he apologized right after it. just chillax okay? the team that posted this was just jealous we ended up beating them in the first place. i agree that it wasnt appropriate to throw the ball, but the fact that he sent a letter out to the parents and players the day after meant something. he feels bad about it and its over now.

  • @tjnoff ... rumor has it (i go to southern) is that he was throwing the ball at the ground... which was foolish but not intentionally at the player.

  • @tjnoff but it's funny

  • @commentatorman But it could have broken her neck. Go die in a ditch somewhere, you heartless bastard.

  • @CelesteStorywriter Broken her neck?!! You guys have got to be fucking joking with this shit! Get over it. It was never going to hurt anyone!

  • @tjnoff What sickens me is people are actually defending that ignorant barbarian. Are we becoming that much of a degenerate society that actions such as this are becoming condoned? That young lady could have suffered a concussion or had facial damage from a ball being thrown like that, and people think it's alright to sweep it under the rug?? I just wonder how many of these people would have justified it if it was their daughter or sister?

  • @tjnoff People who agree that this is ok are probably wife beaters and womanizers who have a tiny pee pee

  • Hit that girl in the face again but also the other girls including the libero who can't cover the setter dump in the middle of the court. I'd hit that entire team in the face with balls. Except that middle, i'd just hit that. mmmmm underage

  • This happened five months ago..The video has just now gone viral..He is still coaching..

    His name is: Eric Maxwell

    School: Southern regional high school

    phone: (609) 597-9481

  • @paulcastilloaguilar I hope he looses his job. Parent of three varsity multi-sport high school athletes here in NY. I've seen every variety of coach since the time my kids could walk. These type of coaches are frustrated athletes who have no business working around children.

  • This isn't a case of "Growing a set" as you would put it Toymachine. This is a grown man that has assaulted a young girl with a volleyball. This is not acceptable behavior. You can call me names all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that this guy should have charges brought against him.

  • ha i go to this school

  • who wants some calzones maybe a little relish

  • Defending this guy for an action like that is reprehensible. We send our children to school to learn. I would never want my child to be sent into an environment where there is even the slightest threat of being injured by an "emotional" outburst by the coach. There is a reason why states like Pennsylvania and New Jersey require Criminal Background checks and Child Abuse checks. Those checks are to prevent against situations just like this. His actions are deplorable and he should be fired.

  • Southern Regional School District Superintendant Craig Henry told The Press Monday afternoon that the incident was an anomaly and completely out of character for Maxwell.

"This coach is a faith-based individual and he is moved to emotion every time it comes up," he said. "He's a class act in everything he does."

  • toymachine... I think you'll find it's "you're".

  • @toymachine875

What a sad idiot picking fault with a typo... You must be stupid since you take everything literally & can't seem to get the point that I am trying to get at. Keep thinking that this coach did nothing wrong & think that he should not be severely punished for what he did. Next time you are HURT by someone else's valid comment here on youtube, then just go to your mommy & cry :)

  • let me guess... this toymachine875 guy must be related in some way to this sad violent coach since he thinks what the coach did here is no big deal... What a sad loser & idiot with a twisted moral value.

  • @ nbd1782

Even a muderer or criminal all had some people that that they were nice to... what a self centered idiot you are. The coach needs to be punished.

  • what kind of pussy is a volleyball coach??

    lol

  • Gotta love Southern; we never have a dull moment

  • @ElectricSteel77 well actually I know the girl he hit with the volleyball. she was alright, but the coach's actions were still over the top and was uncalled for

  • @ElectricSteel77 it's the other way around.

  • Wow my school went and vandelized southerns office lol but in all fairness it's a very good. School and I wish I went there

  • This is amazing.. funniest shit ive seen all day!

  • Coach needs an ass kickin'.

  • Big Deal! People are such wussies these days! So what! The coach threw a ball at the girl. Maybe she deserved it. When I was 11 and on a CHURCH football team, my coach used to throw the football directly aimed for us! Guess what? We did what he told us to do. It sickens me to see how we baby our kids. That's why they grow up not being able to cope with life!

  • Little wannabe fascists like you sicken me.

  • @powbiffbang dont u have a tree to hug or a PETA meeting to attend?

  • I have a couple of boots I'd put in your face, too.

  • @powbiffbang epic fail

  • Oh, well that certainly puts me in my place. "Epic fail"! It makes me miss nostalgic for the good 'ol days of 2008.

  • i love this

  • That is AWESOME

  • No excuse for it. You don't treat your players like that, I don't care who you are or what you are coaching.

  • Okay, I've had enough, good night, I hope you realize that being so close and personal with the coach seems to have made you overlook this "accident" which has already been proven NOT an accident but certainly a "mistake" . I hope you can learn from this coaches mistake, I certainly have. Another lesson to learn: Watch what you do in public, you never know who is recording you! :) Cheers, goodnight!

  • Whats with the labels? The people are obviously immature and have limited life experience. Like I said, their High School years were their world, and they still feel they owe this man something.

  • AGAIN RIGHT ON JC112203....

  • Thanks for your support, I also support many things you said, but not in writing, just "thumbs up" lol

  • I have a wonderful fulfilling life. I have a wife and three kids, a great job with great benefits. I am very blessed. The man should simply be evaluated to see if he is competent to coach a sport where children's safety is in his hands.

  • If Maxwell was hated upon and disliked, his current and former players, along with parents, wouldn't be here defending him. If there was no one standing up for him, then that'd be a problem.

  • That is the real issue, does past success make up for present failure? assaulting a student?

  • I can't believe he still is allowed to coach...What is this school thinking?!?!?!

Here is their number if you would like to voice your concerns.

Southern Regional High school phone: (609) 597-9498

  • Yes, we all make mistakes. of course. I'm just wondering what they are going to DO about this mistake. I have never made such a mistake as to hurt a child, or deserve to be fired. But yes, we all screw up. Maybe its time for coach to move on, he had a good run, won some games, bounced a few balls, but he can't handle the pressure anymore.

  • I hope he DOES admit that he was wrong, unlike these people defending him. Just admit it wasn't an accident and I'll go away. This has gone on too far

  • That's not a accident... IT's WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT!!! WEll you crazy people... I hope no accidents happen to your kids...

  • I actually HAVE kids, its different if its your own kid, you guys would care more.

  • Yes, I wish people supporting that it was an accident actually WATCH the movie, its a great reminder.

  • omg i'm so defending my thoughts behind my youtube account name! i can say whatever i want and no one will know who i am! hooorahhh i'm badassss

  • Your sarcasm is noted, but don't bash youtube for granting us anonymity. It has given a great many of people a voice where they otherwise wouldn't have one.

  • look there was no kid throwing a ball there was a full grown man... throwing a ball a a kid in the middle of a game... THAT'S messed up!!! MESSED UP

  • I've noticed accidents are a convenience that aid one side or another. Why punish the number 1 winning coach? We got some games to win. (sarcasm for those not following)

  • what if it was a player that threw a ball at the coach? or the player threw a ball at the other player? accidents happen. idk what you're trying to prove.

  • @sheislegendxxx yeah i'm a coach and if i were the other teams coach i would have told him something... Cowards

  • Well, defeat isn't proven by name calling, it merely lets the other person know that the moral ground is giving, and the opposing person subconsciously acknowledges this, calling the other person a name, in hopes of deflecting the debate away from their losing side and into offending the other person. We just wanna know why this guy did it.

  • you cannot silence the voice of the people, that would be socialism, but in this free country we have a right to defend our positions.

  • Quit saying ACCIDENTALLY... That was no accident... ADMIT IT AT LEAST ADMIT THAT!! The guy tried to HIT HER!!!

  • you're a coach? starting coaching right now, set a damn example and leave. be a leader not a follower. there's a 1 minute coaching workshop for you.

  • Possibly, the girl FORBID her parents from pressing charges, and laughed it off, because in High school your social status if really the world. If she got him fired, ALL her peers would blame her..maybe secretly, but nonetheless she would know her friends blamed her neddlessly for the actions of an over zealous coach who thinks winning is more important than the well being of his players, little girls mind you.

  • Seriouslyyyy...These people make it out to be he physically beat her.. There is more important issues in the world today then someone accidentally hitting a girl in the head with a volleyball.

  • But today, right now, this matters, because without acknowlegment of guilt the guilty can never learn.

  • omg she got hit with a volleyball, not a 5 pound weight.

  • once again, avoiding the more serious issue. Unmanageable rage.

  • everyone gets angry. dumbass. its an emotion listed in the human handbook.

  • Right on JC112203...

  • you're a coach? starting coaching right now, set a damn example and leave. be a leader not a follower. there's a 1 minute coaching workshop for you.

  • Look if you like that guy whatever... seems like he can commit murder and you would still defend him... so I guess... support your criminals... Cheers..!!

  • hahahah i'm not afraid of him, i'm stickin up for a man thats been really close wit me, my family and many of my friends and their families and i find it right that u all think u have ANY RIGHT to judge him and something he did and wat i say about him.

  • I am not judging the man, we just happened to think a fair investigation into the man's ability to coach, not "well" because you seem to think winning excuses his behavior, but to coach with integrity toward his subordinates. As you people seem to be his subordinates you clearly cannot comment from a position of neutrality.

  • How is "YOU ARE JUDGED BY YOUR ACTIONS" friggen stupid??? HUH??

  • hahahah i agree with southernvball22. since we went to SOUTHERN and KNOW HIM.. get over it and shut talking outta ur asses

  • again, language guys, we're just trying to et to the bottom of this ...assault. But you all seem to want to end the investigation before it starts...biased. We are an outside third party who can more clearly see the facts of this action. Actions speak louder than words my foul language smurf.

  • i def feel the same way guys Maxwell is the best

  • Hey cuauhtemoc14... You along with everyone else sound friggen stupid!!!!! :)

  • name calling is a sign of defeat. Are you ready to admit your coach isn't GOD?

  • Hey southervball22... YOU ARE JUDGED BY YOUR ACTIONS!!!!

  • this happened FOUR months ago, the player didnt press charges, neither did her parents and NONE of the other players quit. CLEARLY they thought he was sincere when he apologized to GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Maybe because they are afraid of him, did he threaten them? I'm just asking.

  • Electric I find your language offensive

  • Yes, I wish that they would at least ADMIT FAULT in the coach, but instead they just shrug it off.

  • i'm being offensive? i'm being honest. be done with it. grow up.

  • even the other girls on the Opposite team were like "what the hell"... I'm a coach and if i did that they would have lit me up... this guy needs a total CHILL PILL... for a while... COACHING young adolescents IS A PRIVILEDGE not a RIGHT..

  • hahaha everything u say electric really makes me LAUGH out loud, ur sooo funny cuz u couldnt be anything further from the truth. someday i hope u found out the real truth.... actually i take that back you dont deserve it

  • He was TOTALLY aiming... He hit her hard... If he was aiming towards the wall then he must have been playing wall ball because that ball was going to bounce back HARD!!!

  • EXACTLY, and if he wasn't aiming why did he point at her and yell something, turn around to leave, and only come back after he got red carded?

  • you're getting absolutely no where. just stop. enough is a enough sometimes.

  • be done with it.

  • Hey JC i'll ask you again. Were you there at this game? Because I was and that didn't happened at all. You sound so dumb saying that when you do not know what exactly happened at all

  • I know what I see, and I see and angry coach lose control when his players needed him most. If this is only a glimpse of the man I see, I shutter to think of this man actually coaching my child.

  • What are you getting out of sitting here behind a computer screen typing under an alias? Does it make yourself feel better? Life's to god damn short and if you want to ruin someones, ruin your own. be done with it, seriously.

  • hey cuauhtemoc14 he didnt aim for her, he would never ever do that. wat sucks is that someone from the opposing team videoed this soooo it clearly doesnt show wat happened afterwards, but he actually went right up to her after it happened and apologized

  • Why do you people keep saying that..HE DID MEAN TO HIT HER! at least admit it. He points RIGHT at her after he nails her from ten feet away and scolds her then turns his back. BODY LANGUAGE SAYS A LOT! He meant it, but LATER realized "Oh NO! I'm gonna get in trouble" and tries to make ammends

  • hey Electric i have nooo idea who the hell u got that information from... probably a drunk. he is none of those things actually so i clearly think u have ur people mixed up. so get ur fact straight before u start blasting someone over the internet

  • No way sdex16.... He was aiming... Look at 0:09 he totally aimed... if that was my child I would not be very happy... you don't humiliate your athletes to make them better in front of their opponents parents and friends... That is just wrong... especially a teenage girl who has all kinds of things going thru her head... and then her coach hits her on the head..

  • Wow, absolutely false and you should be ashamed for even saying such a thing. Maxwell is a religious man with a beautiful family that he cares more about than the world. You just took this way too far. Honestly, just let it go.

  • Electric you sound very ignorant right now. You're turning this into a racial thing. Southern Regional does not exclude anyone from attending the school. Just so happens there are very few African Americans in our town. So what? Does that make Maxwell a bad person because he is a white coach? Absolutely not.

  • you were doing real well until you got to that last sentence.

  • this has nothing to do with racism, so i find this topic completely pointless.

  • uhmmm hey @jc112203 how dare u say something like that about him! he has a freakin family, wat the hell are u thinkin?? u kno u rele shouldnt be talking about urself on stuff like this, it makes u look worse.

  • I'm just pointing out that the world isn't as perfect as you all seem to think. I'm just bringing up points of discussion. Who really knows someone? Do husbands really know their wives? vise versa?

  • Perfect example, A teacher in the city I grew up in was a VERY nice guy. He was everyone's favorite Latin teacher. He also helped with the choir program, kids loved him, a lot like you love maxwell. Turns out he was stealing money from the choir fund-raising money secretly for years. I'm just saying you never know someone...really know someone until they let down their defenses, like maxwell did. I think he may have been showing his true colors, but you all are biased from history, but not us.

  • These are school girls not pro athletes... besides if he had done that to a pro athlete he would have had the ish beat out of him... IDIOT!!! Picking on girls
