Wow it is as if time has stood still for this family! They are simply amazing,,, still! Its incridible that never before now had I almost not recognized Jimmy as Jay as there is a superb strong ressemblance like never before!

I've just been to a number of shows "Chicago" here in the UK and Jimmy played the part of Billy Flynn.

He was on stage most of the time and had LOADS of Dialogue.

I expect having done "Chicago" then before that "Grease"(Teen idol) then before that pantomime(Cinderella) he has gone back to the USA very tired BUT

he has certainly wowed the UK Theatre audiences, in his own right, he's an absolute gentleman, and deserved the standing ovation he recieved on the last night. June 13th

Donny's voice is absolutely strong and basically flawless in concert. The brothers are very, very good when there are 4 of them singing together in concert, a little weaker with only three. Marie was a much better singer in concert when she was a teenager; however, when she sings from her musicals, my husband and I noticed that she sings much better. Jimmy has really come a long way, and I haven't tried a Merrill only concert.

It's usually a cousin or other second or third removed family members performing in Branson and on the road billed as the Osmonds.

Rarely, if ever do the orig family members show up on stage to sing that we've ever found.

The exception maybe a TV special, news bite or for plubicity.

If you can catch Marie performing anyplace, her act is awesome, first rate excellent .

Worth every dime the ticket cost. She is better than ever.

You are quite wrong...the original family members are still touring, collectively and individually. Members of the second generation do perform, in Branson and elsewhere, but most of the first generation still perform regularly.

I disagree. The Osmonds are great! They are an example to us all of what a family should be like. Loving, close, supportive, and so on. They have many fans that like them because they offer great family- G rated entertainment in a PG-13/ R rated world. If you don't like them. Then don't watch their clips. Why do people that don't like the Osmonds seek them out? Why post negative comments about an awesome family with good values who are great entertainers. Chances are you don't know them. No one is forcing you to like them or even watch their clips. Please keep your rude and negative comments to yourself. If you want to post a comment keep it positive. At 3:03, when Marie sounds like she's changing notes, she's leaning over to kiss her father. And, there are a few other spots where it is hard to tell if they are singing or lip-synching.

My condolences to the Osmonds for losing mother Olive in 2004 and father George in 2007. When the Osmonds are mentioned, it's always Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie, and Jimmy, but let's not forget the two unsung heroes, brothers Virl and Tom, who were born with degrees of deafness. Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay started singing to help Virl and Tom get hearing aids and other equipemnt.

Not quite. The family was working class, and when the boys were young they started singing to raise money for hearing aides for their two oldest brothers, and for missions. Long story short, they were "discovered" at Disneyland, where Walt Disney auditioned them and put them on his TV shows. Andy William's father saw them and suggested to Andy that he put them on his show.

I was covered in goosebumps when the curtains went back and The Osmonds came out singing, the tears just poured down my face, then Mum and Dad osmond came out with Virl and Tommy that just finished me of. Thanks for posting looking forward to seeing them next year in Glasgow.

the two eldest brothers, who weren't in the singing group, are Tommy and Virl. They have hearing problems. Mom Osmond passed away a couple of years ago.

Marie looks good. Same age as me. Oh well *sigh*

It's official: The long-rumored Osmonds reunion will be in Las Vegas this summer, with a 50th anniversary PBS special Aug. 13-14 at the Orleans Arena, it was learned Tuesday.

Thats understandable, however, it would pretty much be impossible to make the entire movie without a younger Osmond family... I think the very beginning of the movie would have been especially difficult to make with original osmonds... I do think they could have gotten better actors for this movie though. Ones that at least "resembled" the originals...
