i think an orange speed ramp speeds up the kart, but the blue ones open the glider. on dino dino jungle if you try to take the shortcut, you will at least open the glider. try making a kart with good off-road, so that you can get there easily. can't wait till i get mario kart on friday (i.m in the uk)

I'm really happy overall with the game! I like Wiggler and Shy Guy very much as well as Lakitu, they are great character choices. I like Shy Guy cause it was cool battling General Guy and his clan in Paper Mario. :3 I also like Wiggler because I used to play as him in Mario Power Tennis. I feel better about the game than I did before and am still hoping that Waluigi will be available in a future DLC update. I'm looking on the positive side of things here. :)

@danielthepokefreak They aren't. I was a little disappointed too, but it still looks like a great game so im still buying it. And look on the bright side. They might bring bikes back in the Wii U version (if you haven't heard nintendo is already thinking of Mario Kart on the Wii U).

The only thing about SNES Rainbow Road that I don't think the 3DS really does justice to is the actual size of the track. In the original, you could only fit about three or four karts on the track (and really only one coming around to the split at the end), making the track brutally hard. It still looks hard, but I think they toned it down a little bit. Hopefully, people won't be getting seizures like they did in the '90s over this track.
