All I like this news better than all the new News channels that it doesn't make me feel handicapped LOL The letters in Big font flashes with the voice as if 99 % people are deaf and understand Written letter all over the screen !!! How ironic that 10 years later the news sounds the same. Austerity drive of the govt. , China has not yet ratified the CTBT and Shiekh Hasina is the PM of Bangladesh. Miss the days of doordarshan when everything was in moderation. Also, look at the diction and delivery of the anchors. Most of the ones these days (Rajdeep Sardesai, Barkha, Sagarika Gosh, etc ) just yell on top of their voices as if they are at an election rally. . I wish some of these DD guys train todays' anchors.

You will be surprised that teachers of English ask kids to emulate them when they speak the language! The DD News readers of yore (Neethi Ravindran, Komal GB Singh, Rini Simon) were all trained by the BBC before they started the assignments here. Now can you compare or expect that type of training reading with today's trash news faltering anchors?

why do people have to comment on the news reader so badly i dont understand...why do some people hate the old times....old doordarshan was great according to me because it really helped the bad times like recession with these serials and shows, that's why i cherish them and blog too. Its really very difficult to find such good news readers in today's era.
