  • This is a contender for The Who's most underrated song. Just killer.

  • OUCH !!!! LOVE ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • They played this song in my school when i was doing the mile for my fitness testing exam. It was awesome!

  • Brilliant !!! MY band The Triffiks did covers of most of the Who songs, not this one regrettably. Anyone here know what A QUICK ONE in the title of the album refers to? 9-. LOL ( Answers on a postcard to TRIFFIKS ) (-:

  • This song is AWESOME!!!!

  • moon was a four on the floor drummer? couldn't be further from the truth... have you been listening? he's a jazz drummer... all the best rock drummers were...

  • la bonne période The Who ! j'adore

  • Thanks for the great post!

As a long time Who fan I feel really silly that I never heard this great tune, I guess I'm not that deep. Anyway, it's neat to hear The Who playing a shuffle, there aren't very many of them in their catalog (not that I'm any kind of expert text-pert joking smoker) Moon was more of a 4 on the floor type of drummer, so this is a nice surprise. Will this do? I think so.

  • @mr10pm Another neat-o Who track that gets missed is 'Someone's Coming.' YouTube has it, check it out if you'se never heard it.

  • Smashing rock!!!

  • they are ALL darn great in their own way. i played in a band that did Who covers but we didnt do Run which is a shame cos its a fabulous song.

  • Unsurprisingly, this is a good song to run to.

  • @poetgb : you're right man ! The Beatles is one of my favourite band. Not only could they write mervellous songs but they were also able to create something new, never seen before by staying rock'n'roll !

  • One person had to hit dislike. REALLY!! You no like, then go back to lady rara or whatever! Just leave and be on your merry way lap.

  • Hands down the greatest band ever.Period.Cheers for posting!

  • The Who were a great band and these songs are cool, but let me straighten you all out concerning who the greatest band is.Without a doubt the all time greatest band is the Beatles. All of the other big bands were great, but it was the Beatles songwriting ability that elevated them above all the other bands. The wrote the biggest and best songs in rock and pop music. They had a kind of magic that cannot be equalled

  • @poetgb if you love the beatles so much go to post on a beatles video, not here, i love the beatles its true they are gods, but the who has something special that no other band has.....

  • @alejandrosuckmy I was checking out videos and came across this one and saw so many comments that I couldn't help it, I had to post a comment. It is true that everyone has their own preferance of artists and styles.I admit the Who is one of the greatest bands of all time and have a unique style of their own.Sorry if I offended you.

  • @poetgb You're right, The Who didn't equal them. They SURPASSED them with Tommy, Who's Next and especially Quadrophenia. Love Reign O'er Me>any Beatles song ever written IMO. And their (Beatles) backing tracks were flippin' lousy for quite a while.

  • @batosai370 You have a right to your opinion. But we must admit the Beatles were in a class of their own.I read a book on music once and the author said it straight when he said that sometimes the biggest are not always the best, but in the case of the Beatles, the biggest were also the best.Just listen to their songs, nobody wrote songs like Lennon and McCartney. They were the most celebrated songwriters in music history and they were able to back up that claim.Rubber Soul and Revolver, the best.

  • In my opinion, the single best guitar sound on any album ever.

  • i listen to this song before every cross country, track and marathon races. it helps me relax before races.

  • went to a mates house had some champagne came home drank some tea and had a fag listened to this and was grateful to be alive man i'm well loved up now

  • Who's the best at creating awesome rock songs?

    Pete Townshend!

Who's the best at voicing these songs?

    Roger Daltrey

Who's the best at creating awesome rhythms for these songs?

    John Entwistle and Keith Moon!

Combined they form the greatest band of the '60's/'70's!

  • @stoprejectingmynames Whose the best at selling out - THE WHO!

  • fuck u

  • @stoprejectingmynames the jimi hendrix experience, black sabbath, led zeppelin, the beatles, the rolling stones, pink floyd, sex pistols, the stooges, cream, the velvet underground. they are one of them.

  • @stoprejectingmynames Correction: the greatest rock band ever

  • @stoprejectingmynames startrejectinghistrickquestionquizzesdesignedtoprovewhatasycophantheis!

  • @stoprejectingmynames Not only 60's and 70's BEST BAND OF ALL-TIME!!

  • I've posted a video response of us playing this song, and I believe there are no video's of either THE WHO or any other tribute on youtube playing it (correct me if I'm wrong)

If you click on our video, please read the 'more info' to the right of our video, thanks.

I love this song btw, especially from the BBC sessions.

  • This song is alot like Run For Your Life by The Beatles They don't sound alike but the concept of the songs are very similar.

  • There is an alternate version of this song where the feedback heard here (1:44) is extended quite a bit. I have read that it was the first studio recording intentionally using feedback for musical effect. I think that version is on the mono release of A Quick one..though not sure. I do recall that the feedback sounds real nasty...in a great way!!!

  • Mugsy

True..the version on my mono album is awesome..the remastering / stereo..seems to have knocked the guts out of the song

    Jim

  • Hey Mugsy,

My understanding is that the Beatles first recorded intentional feedback on "I Feel Fine"(intro). What year did the Who record "Run Run Run"?

  • One of my favorite songs...Sounding even better in HQ. Thanks for Posting.

  • no better band on earth

  • brillant tune, brillant song, brillant band! long live the who and rock and roll!

  • killer tune once again!!

this whole LP was/is beyond its time!!

    Mr.Seeker strikes again =D

    Lee

    Liverpool Mods.

  • agreeeeeeeeeeeeeed

  • you can pretty much say that about any early Who albums... Sell Out is a one of a kind concept album packed with great all original tunes, Magic Bus has nothing but classics on it... what a band :))
