  • why the hell is there 16 f**king dislikes

  • What a hero.

  • Run David, run! :)

  • Thank your pyropuncher for bringing me here!

    This is so inspiring~ ><

  • pyropuncher brought me here

  • i dont understand how anyone could dislike this

  • We just made him Hero of The Week on our channel. Posted this video to the blog

  • goodguy greg brought me here

  • having 32 beats per minute heart rate is impossible!

  • @fmksr2007 Nope. Lance Armstrong has the same resting BPM. It's all about how well the heart can pump. Some say it's because these individuals are ultra athletic and are constantly improving how their cardio-vascular system operates, I personally believe they are so athletic because of the genetics that allowed them to have this "mutation".

  • 1:38 If you can see yourself doing something you can do it, if you can't see yourself doing it, usually, you can't achieve <3

  • super inspirational!

  • wait at 3:14 it says 110 miles at 22H 50M

but at 3:24 it says 113 miles at 21H 11M

when did he go backwards? lol

  • Wow, this guy is so inspirational!

  • Props.

  • When you sit at home, and look outside, as you debate and debate, should I go for a run, or fail to get started on an important task. After watching this video. Debating has never came to my mind again. When you search Webters Dictionary in search for the word role model or superhero...David Goggins name should be the underlying meaning of these word. Time to run!

  • The mma fighter nick diaz is also amazing at cardio, he sets triathlon records all the time

  • Such a motivation!!!! YUUUUUUUUUUUT!!!!!!

  • I am well on my way to Ultra events and this guy is the reason. Ive pushed myself and found out new things about my "soul". "Opening the door" is so REWARDING. david, thank you.

  • My resting heart rate is 50, and I'm in good shape. Compared to this guy I am 350lbs and not an ounce of muscle.

  • I weigh 350 lbs and today is the day I decided to do something about it. I just got home from my first run in 6 months and if feels great to have done it but not being able to run like I used to hurts. Hey if I can do it so can you, right?

  • @ReggyRay289 Good going mate!!!! Keep it going, i used to weight 350 myself at the age of 21, i'm now 24 and weight just over 200, I've done 5 marathons and in july did my first ultra which was 32 miles... if you want it bad enough you'll get there mate :) In march I'm attempting 56 miles running from glasgow to edinburgh. to think this guy has done 150 and more miles.... crazy!!!! Good Luck on your journey!

  • @hendybhoy WOW! Thank you for your support!

  • @ReggyRay289 you're still running mate ?

  • @LinkinPark640 Yup, I'm really going for it this time!

  • @ReggyRay289 Can you describe your training session dude ? I just came back from my training... with a damn blister on my right foot,it's annoying.

  • @LinkinPark640 Well I live by a huge park with tons of trails. I'm unable to run for long distances so I run as far as I can then I walk. I keep alternating, but when the weather is bad I like riding a stationary bike. I also lift 3-4 days a week.

Blisters are a B*tch but are inevitable, but try wearing two pairs of socks, and using mole skin. Try to keep your feet dry.

  • @ReggyRay289 Or go barefoot

  • @ReggyRay289 Keep kicking ass dude! This guy is absolutely right BUT remember he got where he was through intelligent application of HARD work :D Make sure you speak to your doc and I recommend also checking out a guy on youtube called Ross Enamait. Dont quit and especially dont get lazy like I did lol, I am building back up too starting a couple days ago :D All the best to ya!

  • @shkotay Cheers, thank you for the advice, I'll take any I can get.

  • @ReggyRay289 No problem :D Stairstepping your way back up to better health is the safest method of ensuring long term well being. Dont go balls to the wall instantly, start small, work up to the big stuff, thats what Goggins did. That P90X is also a good method to build up from of as well. Dont be shy about your weight in the gym either, remember lots of us bulky guys are in there every day too working off the extra stuff.

  • I can see myself turning Super Saiyan and destroying planets with a finger... can I do it?

  • its a crime that this video doesn't have at least 1 000 000 views

  • Does anybody know the name of the song that starts playing at 4:50? Please let me know, thank you!

  • This is impressive, and I understand that it is very difficult, but I feel like I could train up to this. 13:30 mile pace sounds achievable.

  • @cicirunner good luck. The pace seems achievable on paper...but I doubt you have any idea what 150 miles over hilly/mountainous terrain actually does to the body.

  • @mikegruben1 I thought it is just running 100 miles?!?! I just want to do 100 miles as fast as possible (under 24 hrs for sure). I have no interest doing any more than that lol. I've done other endurance challenges such as biking for 328 miles in 18 hours. I just have never done a running challenge.

  • @cicirunner

those ultra-marathons go for distances over 50, 100, and 150 miles

  • At mile 110, his time was almost 23 hours and then at mile 113 his time was 21 hours. That makes no sense. Otherwise, great video.

  • FOR WHAT REASON COULD YOU POSSIBLE DISLIKE THIS

  • I am a highschool cross country and track runner.. And I just have to say that this man is not only a machine, and a role model, but a true source of inspiration. The fact that he does not believe in any limitation, and puts 100% into what he believes is just amazing.

  • @st00pidfart I totally agree. I'm currently a freshman at college except that in high school I never ran cross country because I did not like the program but I did run a marathon and currently training for my second. This man is probably one of the most inspirational people I have ever seen.

  • That is incredible what you are doing. Nice video! But if we are talking about real ultra running professionals, it's a long way to the best ones. This is Goggins ultra CV: ht tp :// statistik. d-u-v. org (search Goggins).

And this is the best all times ultra runner greek Yiannis Kouros:

ht tp: // statistik. d-u-v. org/ (search Kouros)

He made 303,4 km in 24 hours, 473,5 km in 48 hours and 1036,8 km in 6 days! No one can beat him

  • @juliusvazgela the guy is 195 pounds and former power lifter what do you expect?

  • @juliusvazgela If you read a bit about him u will see that he is not built for this type of race genetically or physically, at all, and professionally he was not trained for this sort of thing. The point of his videos is no limits, and anything is possible. Yiannis is amazing, but David Goggins has reached and inspired loads more people.

  • This man literally is what I aspire to be after my high school and college running career are done.

  • marathon pro? YEAH BUDDY.

  • The world say you thank you for the courage...

  • Not only is his fitness incredible. He has some of the best training in killing people you can receive from the U.S. Military.

  • Chuck Norris does this as a warm up while fighting 5 mountain lions at the same time

  • @lobsidedballs Goggins would murder Chuck Norris

  • DAYUM... Im going out for a jog

  • 15 lazy dungeon masters rolled an odd number and did not open the door, and were thus slayed by the mighty wall.

  • @klb12393

Isn't it the player's choice to open the door? The dungeon runner already put the door there. c:

  • Does anyone know what the music is for this video? I really would love to have this Soundtrack...

  • @WaywardPatriot yeha noha sacred spirit

  • Lets see him row marathons.

  • Professor Xaviar will be along shortly...

  • what kind of pathetic piece of shit dislikes this?????

  • wow my 5k's on cross country are now nothing by comparison lol

  • anton krupicka is still the best

  • my resting heart rate is 60 :(

  • i wasn't sure if i should go for a run today or don't

    i watched this video

i went out for a motherfucking run

  • @rudiratte1 the real question, how far was your run? lol

  • Go Navy! Doing us proud David!

  • I like this man,he inspire me in my sport,The best!!!!!

  • He's a SEAL? No wonder he's such a bad ass.

  • yea... but can he get that boom HEADSHOT!!!?

  • Tried to post this video on Facebook, was told "This message contains blocked content that has previously been flagged as abusive or spammy." - Anyone else have a problem posting it on Facebook?

  • So effin' Amazing.

  • He started running as he could not make up his mind to "which seat he should take " when his friends came to pick him up.

  • Well, now I'm going for a run!

  • I don't even drive that far.

  • He really is a machine, look how much he can squat in the next video!

  • @xcRaD28 I hope you're not talking about the Goggins 1102 Squat. Completely different guy... Lol

  • holy smokes, look at his calves

  • who the fuck disliked this. there must be some jealous fat fucks on here

  • @SteveYoTalbot Just you.

  • @SteveYoTalbot 1st, I liked this.

But I can understand the jealousy, because I could never achieve what he can simply due to my genetic make up. I have asthma, a bad back and joints, and a predisposition to body temperature related problems.

I am not going to take credit away from him and his effort, but he is bloody lucky he has such a good selection from the gene pool (again, he still puts in a superhuman effort and can do things others, even with the same body, could not).

  • @LAWG4 Strength isn't about having the perfect circumstances to achieve it. It's about overcoming your own circumstances. Nothing worth doing is easy, and strengthening yourself is fucking hard. Some people just don't have the mental/emotional capacity to push themselves.

  • @LAWG4 The point is to try the bloody hardest with what you got. He got to his level through natural ability PLUS smart, dedicated training. For him, thats what there is. For YOU what will YOU do? How can YOU push limits in YOUR own way? It isnt just about marathoning, its any pursuit in life. You disliking this is the wrong mindset by far. This has nothing much to do with physical limits as it does with mental limits. You in a way defined yours. Now go beat them down.

  • Oh and also, people with huge engine like that (32 heart beats per minute in rest) usually don't live long. Check out cyclists.

  • 4:32 shows that the title is rubbish, that humans are not machines. It is your mental power that can make you overachieve, but only so much.

  • @Ph1lmoe machines break down too...

  • David Goggins is a masochist.

  • SEALs are truley the best!

  • Goggins is pure inspiration

  • he's suffered blisters!!! OH NO!! jk....srsly what and amazing athlete

  • Kidney failure.... How is he running?

  • @AGanimeH Temporary kidney failure, also known as acute renal failure. It can happen from running too much and sending your body outta wack, and when i say too much i mean ALOTTTTT. Can cause you to also pee blood.

  • @b1l2u3n4t5 Cool, I knew it was common that people peed blood after a marathon, but I didn't know you could have an acute renal failure after running piss(no pun intended) long distances. Learned something today.

  • Shin splints cause he's heel striking. Lolz

  • pulse of 32 beats per min either means you are about to die

or you are in unbelievable shape

  • @JayPull85 he's in unbelievable shape.

  • this is very inspirational

I like his analogy on opening doors etc, very interesting

  • does anyone know the song in the background towards the end??? please help!

  • dang, he can out run a horse

  • I had the blessing of being one of his teachers. He had this self discipline when he was twelve. He had and has a wonderful attitude. He told me then that someday I would hear about him. I feel blessed to have known him.

  • Did this guy even have a hard time in BUDS?

  • 99% of americans couldnt stay awake that long....

  • What a motivational video and person. Absolutely amazing.

  • 40%! Damm it! Thanks Goggins! Now I know that I can't quit so easy.

  • Today I had a track meet and I did the 1600 and I thought of how fast David could do it and that gave so much motivation I sprinted the last 300 and when I came to the finish line I almost collapsed

  • Ok I've watched about 3 or 4 videos of David Goggins. He NEEDS to be a motivational speaker to the world, I think he should travel around to schools, and people with less benefits and give them a great gift....His own words.

  • pain is the only thing thats real

  • @MrBostonlc Suffering is the only thing that is real. Pain is an illusion.

  • Unbelieveable, fkn machine...

  • that's a great lesson for everybody to learn and grow off of and that guy is a great athlete!!!!

  • More than this athletes physical capacity, his mental, moral and motivational strength are an inspiration to all athletes! "What can each of use achieve when we apply ourselves!"

  • That is awesome keep it up....

  • This guy is my hero! I run xc for my school.. But that's nothing compared to this guy wow!

  • 9 people are fuckin quiters.

  • I get tired riding in the car for 150 miles.

  • "Man I play real sports, not try to be the best at exercising..."

  • he's ok but not the best by any means.

  • @ElliotovHull

    Youre completely missing the point...

  • @ElliotovHull

'In a sport like this, everybody wins. Just crossing the finish line, you win'

  • @ElliotovHull I'd say he's better than "ok" 1st place and course record sound good to me.

  • I found this while sitting on my ass, surfing reddit.

  • @idlewild Reddit!!! That place gave me a virus!

  • @idlewild No big surprise today's a repost, then!

  • @idlewild You shut your mouth about that.

  • @idlewild don't go to reddit, it gave me a virus!

p.s found this while browsing reddit too.

  • Recent research into ultra marathoners, using new type mri has shown long term damage to the heart. The human body is not made to stand up to this type of long term extreme training.

  • @DrSmokeTrees Lungs weren't made to inhale smoke of any kind. Do what makes you happy.

  • @DrSmokeTrees

Please support your claim by including a relevant a URL, a study name, and/or the title of a paper. Merely tossing circumspect "facts" about "research out there" is utter nonsense and contributes wholly to a culture of poor critical thinking, ignorance, and information bias. I would be interesting in reading such recent research, if it exists. Please provide me and others with it. Thanks.

  • @decadyne martplanet.c O m/business/blog/smart-takes/are-marathons-bad-for-you-scientists-cite-heart-damage-in-debate/1306/ I believe that was what DrSmokeTrees was on about...

  • @DrSmokeTrees Link please

  • It's fucking Forrest Gump!

  • Thanks for making me feel like a lazy fat ass.

  • It would be interesting to see how long this guy lives. To see if being in great shape actually equals a long life.

  • 9 people are fat cows and would rather be dead than alive.

  • @eatmealiveplease You're so fucking gay

  • 3:15 These are strong words. I'll remember this next time I face an obstacle in my life.

  • @pretor89 lol no u wont

  • THIS GUY

  • I've entered 10 ultras and completed nine of them. When I watch this I feel like I've done NOTHING.

  • I want to see what this guy eats everyday with a workout like that

  • he looks like he could use some pancake mix.

  • I'd like to see him drink a beer every mile than i'd be impressed....

  • @JFamous09er a joint every 5th mile would only make it more interesting

  • I don't blame him for such a slow average pace, but its really not fair to call that his average pace. What was his moving average?

  • Could have done it in 33h and 35m if he was barefoot...

  • His body and mind tell him to stop throughout every second of that race, but his heart wills him to keep pushing forward. My question is? how? how does he manage to reject quitting this entire time? This is something truly inspiring.

  • I can't stay up 33 hrs. let alone run a marathon. BEAST!

  • "...once you open that door and go through it, your mind resets."

  • The guy is a cyborg. Doctors recently discovered a heart defect he's had since birth; he has a hole in his heart and only works at like 60-75% of what normal hearts do. Even with this physical handicap and 3 hours sleep at night, he manages to WIN the mcnaughton 150 mile race. How is this even possible?

  • Comment removed

  • i took some of his quotes from this clip, wrote them on a sheet of paper, and stuck the paper to the back of my door. Everymorning when i wake up to leave my room i see it, and my inspiration skyrockets for the day!!!

  • There is something wrong.. at 3:07, he has run 110 miles in 22 H 50 M.. At 3:27 he has run 113 miles in 21 H 11 M .... Can he really run faster than time?

  • @KasperMollDrummer ..... For sure he can!!!!!!! lol!!!!!if u see at 3:44 he has run 114 miles in 23h 50 m! the 113 miles/time is probably wrong!

  • @KasperMollDrummer Uhhh maybe he has it on a time and distance countdown, so he has maybe 24 hours to run 130 miles

  • @KasperMollDrummer He ran backwards. Duh.

  • @KasperMollDrummer That's why he is such a beast.

  • When Goggins thinks he's done he's probably at about 40% of what he's capable of... 375 miles, DAMN !

  • Anybody who talks shit about this guy should show they can do better then what hes achieved. I use this video and his dont quit attitude as motivation. Just achieved 1000 hindu squats in 34 mins 38 secs and I am a 37 year old 278 pound man barely in shape and getting better. Dont talk smack, start doing, ppl.

  • what a pussy. fuck this guy. learn to run.

  • @thelukester91 I'd like to see you run 150 miles in 33 hours.

  • yesterday i went on the hardest run of my life

and i still cant believe i did it and how i did it

  • I got sooo much respect for him, It's really my hero!

  • anyone else notice at 3:07, he's in mile 110 and the time reads 22hours50minutes and then at 3:25, he's in mile 113 and the time reads 21hours11minutes?...

  • Was the kidney failure from running or something else??

  • @FrWtrArLndSprt running. its called rhabdomyolysis.

  • rewind to 1:36 and listen to 1:44 over and over and over again

  • meeh... long live krupicka and olmo

  • 8 people are still stuck in the past.

  • This is why the SEALS say 90% of the pain you feel is mental. You deal with that, you can deal with anything. The body will go where the mind leads it. They didnt create that, they observed it in every one of the men who make it through that program. You can do ANYTHING, but the question is: do you want it enough? It has always been and always forever will be a choice YOU make. :D I loved this video, it spoke my view on life.

  • I watch this video everyday before each of my workouts, if this guy can do what he does, then I can do my workouts which are minor compared to his. I would say 80% of all athletes have no excuse to not workout when you try to level yourself to this man. Two years ago when I did my first marathon the last 4 miles were the hardest part, but I kept telling myself, if Goggins can run 135 miles in 130 degree weather (bad water event), then I can suck up 4 more miles.

  • This is extremely inspirational. Brings tears to the eye. FUCK!

  • Yeah, another good example. I'd prefer working out like MovNat, more functional moves, more rock climbing, rock throwing, trees pulling and lifting, jumping, trees climbing and swimming. Just an opinion - for me running for tens of miles is boring as hell. A couple of miles with lots of hurdles - that is the thing!!!

  • he inspired me to do my first 50mile in a week.

  • Awesome video. The man is unstoppable. The same motivational stuff he's talking about "not quitting" and pushing yourself...that's what I tell myself b/w 3-5 miles and my legs are burning. lol This guy is knocking out 150 miles and doing jumping jacks at the finish line!
