i have a Akai MPK25 and when i go to preferences and select "MPK49" my input still says "None" but i can select an output. My keyboard is set to livelite but i dont know whats happening. Can someone help?

Can't decide between MPK25 or M-Audio's Axiom 25. Is MPK a hassle to set up in Logic 8? What I means is can you assign all of the pads and knobs to control Logic 8? Many thanks in advance...

DO NOT BUY THE AXIOM!

I know this is probably too late now seeing you commented 3 months ago but if you'r still shopping, get the Akai!

I've been reading about both for months and I honestly have seen that the AXIOM has so many problems! Some keys don't even work, and hell, the support center even suggested "taking it apart" to fix some of its flaws.

Get something you can stick with for life. AKAI would be just that!

PS: I'm getting one tomorrow! :D

Axiom is smaller, cheaper, and feels and looks great.

that 12 level button is false advertisement..it doesnt work like the 16 level button on mpc..on the mpc that button changes the octave of that note..on the mpk it only changes the velocity of the note..FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

Um, I have tthe MPK49, but it has no specifiic parameter for FL Studio 8, but I'm sure FL will recognize the MPK no matter what. Personally, I love my MPK49, the Pads are THE BEST, the keys are perfectly semi-weighted, and it's just a beautiful controller. I orignally wanted the M-Audio Axiom Pro, but after trying it out, I hated it, the keys feel crappy and the MPK's just felt a lot better.

Can anyone tell me how the MPK 25 or 49's 12 drum pads sync up with the 16 banks in the FPC on FL studio?

I'm wondering if I should give the MPK a try with only 12 pads, or should I get an Axiom Pro and also buy an MPD18 which has the 16 pads.
