I'd love to try the polaris or ski doo 800 but just can't get over all the motor issues they've had in recent years.

@600etecXRS I've heard of them burning up rings, but I also haven't come across any firsthand complaints. I think its a "He said, she said" problem.

@voodoospacelounge My bud has an 11 Renegade Backcountry X 800 Etec and the motor melted down 6 times..2 because of the rings, once because of the isoflex bearings, and three times with the pistons breaking up...they just finally put out a recall on the 2011 pistons this year..-.-

@the934x4  I'm sorry. I don't know you or your friend so again "I" have no first hand. But yes I have heard many stories like this one you have. I would think that Ski-Doo would have an oiler adjustment similar to 'Cats. adding more oil could help.. Hmm... w/e.. All I know is I own Cats!
