  • Thank you Prof. Murdick of University of Alabama. Online schooling makes it hard to find tutoring help. People like you make it possible for me to get the help I need.

  • sir you did it for me in less than 3 minutes what my professor couldn't do for a whole semester...Thank you very much sir...

  • Wow,, thanks Pf,, i really need to understand this For my test,, that's gonna be tomorrow..

    Really,, thanks, thanks,,

i'll w8 for the second part...

  • An equivalent formulation of Chebyshev's inequality states that the probability that X deviates from its mean by k*stdev(X) or more must be less than or equal to 1/k^2. This gives an upper bound of likelihood.

The formulation here states that the probability that X deviates from its mean by strictly less than k*stde v(X) must be greater than or equal to 1 - 1/k^2. This gives a lower bound of likelihood.

It's helpful to know both interpretations.

Props on the video, though, Lutemann.

  • Good job, fundamental to comprehension of standard deviation significance. You might like my Randomized Block Theorem, a good bit of work. Google "randomized block 1AUF.html" and you should be able to find it. An improvement over common usage.

  • Why is it at least, and not at most?

  • This was a fantastic explanation!! I couldn't understand the instructions in my textbook, but this was perfectly clear. Thank-you.

  • This is Great. I hope this ressource will be avaible for a while because I'm gonna watch the videos often when i dont get it in class ;)

  • what do i have to do if the problem ask me for the weeks instead of the %

knowing the standar dev. , miu , sigma, and the %

  • That's coming soon.

  • Wow.. Thank you Pf. Murdick from the University of South Alabama... god bless

  • There will be a second Cheby video up soon.
