I'm sure that thats a perfect reason right there. But just because you think it's not bad, doesnt mean it is, from a professional standpoint. And vice versa, just because I think it's bad doesn't make it. Theres just understandable flaws in this design. He's much better now, and so am I. Bad critisism I left 9 months ago but I was inexperienced

Yes, you can link it with image map. It gives you the code in HTML that you paste to the HTML coding for your layout.

Guys, making button links is using HTML and CSS. Which is something you do with your brain, not a program. You can read books and learn how to do all that stuff yourself. However, you CAN make the image for the button link in Gimp, you just can't link it.

Gimp is not a web design program, it can't link the buttons.

They want a static image for marquetting purposes. If you do 3 or 4 static images of layouts, you can send the png (or the jpg) to the client so he chooses the one he likes the most.

Doing it this way, you don't have to code anything and you save time by doing the layout with only one software. You can do 4 design of the same web page in one after noon.

In french, it is called "maquettes". Like, an architect who shows a miniature of a building before building the real one.
