@bacithefencer They are flight cases, in one of them I have my mixer and midi player and the other one is just to put my paper work and iPad / Laptop one.
@MrTikiShah You dont mate, I know many DJs who use the speakers like this. Also I was plugged into there sound system so the sound level was fine. The QSC K Series are not true 1K, ive played in this hall 12 times I have never needed a sub, it works fine and sounds good.
Simple Nice Set Up Shame About Just Led Lighting My Personal Opinion Its Not Brite Enuf And Its Limited Colour's Is Way To Bad To Be Doing Some Inpressive Light Show's But I Do Like The Look Of Your Set Up Very Nice Keep It Up
@LeeJoDavies Look at my newer video of this but if you take a look at my FaceBook page I have a whole new lighting setup. I still thing the way forward is LED but a lighting show should be very minimal. Thanks for the comment!
@freestylflo Not really. The place has a PA sound system I plugged my stuff into so it was not needed but also most of the time I don't need a sub because I don't feel it's needed.
just an idea for you,, the black cloth you put over the speaker stands, you could use a white cloth and have a l.e.d multicolour light shining up into them :)
i use sub and 2 tops 2amps for pa all on dj stand 5 lights kam mushroom, storm bird led, mircleled, equinox cobalt and a dulize. I get the whole show into a Nissan Micra and done the setup so only takes about 20 min to set up on my own
@dogsmods O.o That's fast, I always leave myself 90 mins with my new small setup which is double size of this one (only takes 60 mins anyway (should have a video of it soon)). Does your setup look clean and tidy, nicely duck taped down, all wires hidden, dmx cables ready..?
you need more sound gear. you just got monitor speakers. you should get couple Jbl srxs and 4 Yourkville 18 in 1500wt subs and you will be making more money than you can spend on sound gear if you do it right like me and my bro!
@reidkelly1 I didn't need much sound equipment in this venue, I had the ability to plug into there house sound system as well so it was more than enough. I am still in the market of buying my Mackie Thumps 18 inch subs but I have some transport issues at the moment because there is not enough room. Thanks for the comment though!
Nice clean setup looks very professional. When you can upgrade you might want to add some subs and bigger light show, but looks great good luck on future jobs.
@DjTommyIL I can't get subs, don't fit in the car.. Lol. I need somthing the size of another mackie thump. It was also only in need of a small light show, thanks for the comment though :)
Nice set up their man. How do you like your mackies? I"m new to all this stuff for DJing and I just recently put an order in for the the th-15a's which I should be getting my order tomorrow pacific standard time which is the two 400 watt mackie th-15a with stands and I just started out with a 100 dollar light package with all the connections that i should neede'd to get off the ground for now. I'm running a hercules rmx controller with an mac book. any opinions would be greatly appreciated,,,
@steve702 I really love the Mackies sound, its really nice and clean sound and have not had any problems. Well they are great speakers for starting of with I think, I just need a Mackie sub to go with it. I only need this when there is about 150+ people because I can get the right sound but the people never no. Well just make sure you keep your setup really neat and NEVER leaver wires showing and keep your table really tidy. Make sure the light are just not crap one because it would not do.
@OneStopDiscos Just pick some nice LED ones, I keep with ADJ because I want to DMX them soon when I get round to it :D Well if you keep it a simple but good set-up why wont people like it. I was looking at that controller but then I went with the DP2 because it goes with my 19ich flight case which keeps everything really clean. Just make sure you keep practising mixing and stuff and put up your set-up before you go. Double check you have everything, I learnt the hard way :( Hope it helps.
@NovaRoadshow Yeah, well the second one I did went amazing. There was 170 kids and for the last 40 mins I had everyone non stop dancing and singing along. Well I try and only pick things which I think would look right for a clean and simple setup but which makes people say 'wow'.
Yay It Works!! Very Nice Mate! I'm going to buy scrim kings and table cloth and have about 3 lights simple and looks great :) keep it up mate. Rich :)
@LilRichards2 Yeah, it was annoying about the music. Well mine are not even scrim kings, its just black lycra which has been taped and sticked at the bottom and then put over the speaker pole and you got your self a set of two black fake scrim kings for £9.00 :D Thanks, I am just going to by one more light which is the ADJ Colour Strip LED to go on top to give a wash and then the setup would be done for the moment :D I cant get anything else in my car now, I had to walk to this gig xD
@OneStopDiscos Nice idea scrim kings are like £49 each! I will get some black clothes lol. They will do the job! But your set-up inspired me to complete mine and make it better with your lights I might replace mine to acme dynarocks wich i have :)....And about the walking Lol! stuff that, Keep it up mate

@OneStopDiscos For the 400w Speakers You Were Using, Yes You Do...
If you were using something like QSC K series or any 1k w speakers, your might NOT need subs for a small venue.
