  • turbo > supercharger

  • nice thats in calgary :)

  • @AcadiaVlogs RIP RaceCity.

  • @Ffrostking hear that.

  • This video is proof that the automatic transmission is the biggest piece of crap ever invented, a single cab SRT10 would have won, and think about this, if everyone HAD to shift there own gears in all cars I bet people would be much better drivers.

  • really>? the srt is not even super charge and the other dodge wich is sad slow for a turbo set up .. sorry waste of money i gues thats what u get wen u by left of chevy parts..

  • hey I don't think that's a 5.7, I think it's this truck in the vid : "392 Turbo Hemi Stroker drag races"

  • @warrenzonator Same truck, yes. Different engine.

  • Skip ahead to :40 for the race.

  • Do you know how much horse that SRT-10's pushin?

  • wheres the srt10 from??

  • @2004dodgeram13 Calgary, I presume.

  • of course a SRT-10 should've won since its a viper engine

  • this is nice

    for the hemi

  • That wasn't the real times no way. My hemi ram, with a little weight reduction, vararam, sct/sc3865 stacked, long tubes, and stainless 3 " exhaust dumped ran 14.3's. This thing should've ran a high 12 and the vipe truck shouldve been low12 to high 11. i know a bolt on srt will run a 13 flat. So those aren't the real times. like it or not.

  • @04hemigtx1990 Oh yeh and a ported throttle body. :)

  • @04hemigtx1990 I have stated repeatedly that no times were given for our runs. Both our trucks were running high 12's that day.

  • @Ffrostking no shit dumb ass i was arguing for you not against you.

  • @Ffrostking This is in Calgary, right? So anywhere else with better altitude you'd be running mid-12s. Is the Hemi truck yours? Any complaints with the STS system?

  • @19plymouth64 I think the STS kit is a good place to start with a mostly stock vehicle. My biggest complaint is relying on an electric oil pump to return the turbo's oil back to the oil pan as it is not very reliable. Overall, the quality of everything was good. I've since replaced everything with my own setup as the original STS kit was too restrictive for the fully-built stroker in the truck now.

  • The srt10 runs about 13.5 stock. Supercharged: it should easily run low 12's . They start the race at about 41 seconds into the video and the srt10 finishes at about 56 seconds. That is a 15 second 1/4 mile, at most a 14 second. That srt10 is not supercharged, or its automatic. Also the 5.7l hemi factory runs about 16'2 and 17's , a chipped dodge ram with a cummins running at 1000hp and 1400lbs of torque runs about 13.2-13.5

  • @atreyukicks stock hemi runs 16s consistantly, mine with a few bolt ons and a tune with a 75 shot of nos runs mid 13s, looks like it he was runin about a 13 sec qtr when they went by the time board. at the track i race at that is where the qtr marker is

  • i love dodges

  • @MrBruceBartsch The cars or the pets? ;_)

  • Wow you guys are funny. I have a 1990 silverado that'll probably run 30 minutes in the 1/4 mile.. who cares guys! dont get all bent out of shape over a vehicle.. especially a truck no matter how "cool" you think it may be. After all it is a vehicle and you wont keep it forever.

  • are you saying those trucks are incapable of running 12s? they can its just they have a lot more weight to sling around than your little shit getter does. the ram srt-10 is one of the most badass vehicles ever made. but the quad cab also weighs 3 1/4 tons and requirers a BIT more balls then most vehicles you'll find at the dragstrip. including your nissan.

  • key word "forced induction". look up srt10 trucks with turbos. 650hp+. hennesay has a 1000hp setup for the 8.3L. besides i have witnessed the creation of trucks that would eat both the srt10 and your nissan. i have personally ridden in the worlds fastest single turbo truck on the planet in the 1/8th miles. plus a handful of 1200hp Cummins that get 70psi+. on strait motor. no methonal or nitrous. bring your nissan up here. it wont last one 1/4mile pass.

  • i know im not dumb.

you think your the only one. Ive ridden in the Fastest built motor Ford gt Twin Turboed haha.. pushin high 1300's or 1400 idk it to the exact hp but i know its fast as hell.

Lol Cummins makes the most power i already know, my friend has a 3 turbo set up on his cummins its sitting on 40 inch tires and runs 11s in the quarter.

My truck ran 12s and it was stock besides supercharged headers and exhaust. Not built at all

  • @noseguard

Woah woah woah, hold the phone champ... You just said your titan is supercharged... Naturally it's HP is 550. The motherfucker is supercharged. If I supercharged my 5.7L I'd had 500+. The 8.3L V10 stock is 500+ Hp. With a supercharger, it's 700+. You can't compare your supercharged 5.6L to a stock 8.3L.

The thing about these high-Litre engines is that they need a LOT of air.

  • Wha? Come on man... *Damn!* That's just lame... that's lamer than Michael Moore telling a joke...

If you have the money to actually buy the SRT-10, I really doubt you're gonna be so stripped for cash, you'll leave it stock. SC's dont cost -that- much, and are absolutely worth it for the dramatic increase in HP. Now, I looked up the CID for a 5.7L Hemi, and it's at 360. Titan's 5.6L is at 340... and the 8.3L's CID is at 500+. "Sorry ass displacement?" please explain?

  • @RAMpageHemi 5.7 hemi is a 345 not a 360. the 5.9 is the 360

  • Funny your piece of shit are moded those are not stock numbers, if you dont know how to compare apples to apples shut your fuckin mouth!! Your cars will be rotted out far before the american stuff does, and not to mention have higher capibilities. Fucken Fag!!!!!!!!

  • shh ur names gigglemaster because ppl laugh at u:)

slow ass displacement equals slow ass quarter mile time. which u see with the slow ass 4 door vippppppper truck

  • sts give you tons of torque for those high ratios.

  • YUP 16.60 AT 86.98

  • that was the time b4 him, my stock hemi runs 14.6 on just motor, and a high 13 on nos

  • Comment removed

  • for which the hemis prolly runnin around 600hp if not more and the srt10 s/c prolly runnin a good 600hp also maybe 650 not sure wat kind of s/c it has but hemis like 600hp 700tq and the srt10 s/c 650hp and about 700tq im just guessin but im prolly close

  • u guys r all fucked those were the times for the cars previous its calgary there track sucks and it never works right i watch that single cab all the time and hes a low 12 sec truck at 109 to 112 mph

  • r u serious? thanks i was wondering what a truck like that would make with the sts turbo my truck is runnin 13.4-.8 at 100-105mph with true dual at3030s and superchip cortex with a 0to60 of 4.8

  • HJave yu ever seen parish's chevy truck if not check it out

  • im sorry did that read 16.6 at 86 mph?....im a dodge owner myself so i was all excited what happined here? or am i reading something wrong

  • You are reading something wrong.

  • i saw a 16.6 show up to, my hemi clean breathing with just a 100 shot runs low 14s

  • Race City - Racing facility in Calgary here is your answer high elevation means lower et's. not sure how it effects this track but pikes peak in colorado drops et's 2-3 sec in the 1/4.

  • omg are u al guys deff!!

    it is supercharged

u can hear it at the burn out, at the line up and the take off and yeah.

  • i cant believe those times at all im running 13.8 easy in the 1/4 unless this was a track on top of mt.everest or its a 1/2 mile track lol but yeah a stock srt10 runs like 13s right? and a stock hemi ram of that model runs high 14s??? whats goin on here

  • I think he has a s/c because his mph were 91... but..

1st. the truck already have traction problems stock... and he has a roe s/c

    2nd. he's on stock rubber..

3rd. and the worst... he did the burnout on the water box.... on stock ruber he has to drive around the water box... thats what I do all the time and I have a lot better times than him. just watch my videos.

  • actually.... you dont need to avoid the water box as long as you are able to properly prep your tires in the box by doing a real burnout and get better traction then just avoiding it all together. stock rubber means nothing

  • Uhh, you don't run the box with stock rubber. You'll just spin off the line! Maybe one spin to clean the tires, but don't heat street tires up or you'll spin like he did. Real burnout?????...lmao

  • actually if you know how to launch on stock tires after running the box by loading your engine properly you will shoot off the line, clearly you haven't run on stock tires enough because there are many people who can do it without spinning including myself

  • That SRT10 doesn't have a ROE on it. I have a ROE blower on mine, and you can hear that thing from a mile away! That truck is stock, and the quad cabs are slow :)

  • dam! and that SRT has a Viper engine lol

  • when they lined up to the tree the sound they made was amazing

  • The supercharger soaks up 50 to 70 hp... Look it up how a turbo charger works, I proves it.

Thats with all super chargers wow, Turbo better choice hands down

  • sc has its advantages, immediate boost where turbos have lag

  • Brake Boost

  • 15 sec. 1/4 mile??? that guy fucked up first of all and 2nd the srt10 isnt supercharged cuz with a 15 sec 1/4 he has less power than stock if thats the case. bone stock my truck ran mid 13s.

  • Those were not the times. Read the comments before you.

  • just depends on what you intend to do. turbos have lag yes, turbos ALSO burn your oil if you shut them down hot!!! everyone forgets that one. blowers are instantaneous for boost but do require crank power.

its a genuine toss up, superchargers are far easier to control over turbos, give better drivability, but if you want raw boost and have the motor built for it, turbo all the way.

  • freakin eh, good run. How much boost are they running?

  • Thanks. This video was with the bone stock, turbocharged engine.

  • Cool.. what was the times on this run?

  • I don't know, we weren't given any. Both of us were mid 13's all day.

  • oh ok i got ya.

    I have a ECSB Silverado with a LQ4 and 4L80E. I ran 13.2@104 on 5# boost and 12.5@111 on 5# plus 45 shot of nitrous.

There is a video on Streetfire but not here. tryin to get it from my buddy.

  • expected more from a supercharged srt-10...sad day

  • ..not the official times.

  • Timer was not reset. Times were displayed already half way through the run.

  • oh ok, i was fixin to say!

both trucks came out of the hole very good to only run those times..

I just watched your other videos. Great runs!

  • It doesn't appear anyone reads the previous posts.

  • what would be the point? :P You could put it into the descrip and they still wouldn't see it.

  • Did i see this right??

Turbo Regular cab ran a 16.6@86.9?

Supercharged Quad cab ran a 15.1@91?

What is the Altitude at that track?

  • Haha thats hilarious! Your the guy driving the Hemi truck but yet people still ask you if you're sure what your racing is an SRT-10!

  • Dodge's V-10 has a really distinct sound. This engine won't drop into a 1/2 ton frame like a Daytona has.

  • srt-10? are you sure neither looked like an srt-10 to me the one looked like a daytona
