  • are you a soth park fan....you sound like Mr. Makay.....you say mkay at least every 30 seconds ....lol

  • The cat things the water is special :p he was your guide in the movie it seems... but why no Goku collection or power rangers?

  • wow my house is about 1/4 bigger than that and we pay $600 a month in rent and we live in one of the cheapest housing areas in my state

  • wow you from Oregon or did you just visit and buy that sticker? (is an oregonian) small world

  • @indigopocky I saw that too! Portland is the best. :]

  • @Jackikalis haha XD I'm about 2 hours from P-town. Want to visit soon :3

  • @indigopocky I live a few minutes from the city center. It's a great place to live.

  • Sim card for iPhone

  • 4/5 Because of the doll...but it really is a nice place. I'd love to get one like it when I go to Japan.

  • ok so if i get this right. Evrything is realy small in japan, or nonexistant?

  • @dafawsome everything is small because you are fitting 127,000,000 people into a country the size of CA. nonexistant? I think you are misquoting me. i said some things are rare. let me suggest you take a look at my most recent japanese house i bought. there i have things like modern interior and a dishwasher. whoo!

  • @unrested japan is bigger than england an england has a bigger population so why isnt everything in england small :P

  • @whiteboygotswagg unless its an enormous difference land doesnt always mean every inch of the country can be built on. i.e. mountain areas are incredibly hard to build on. check the amount of mountains in Japan v.s. england.

  • mm k

  • I think I like the more traditional homes like yours. They seems to have a chill vibe.

  • I find it awesome how Japan is advanced technologically, but at the same time they don't use enviromentally damaging machines frequently like the dryer or dishwasher, and the fact that the car isn't used very often. It brings a lot of insight to somebody living in north america, where convenience rules. I would really love to live in Japan one day, one of my favourite countries.

..oh and you're Gundam collection is fantastic ^.^

  • how did you get a job with those tattoos?

  • @EldestSauce get ready to have you mind blown.......I wear a long sleeve shirt to work.

  • 1200 for that is actually fairly reasonable, more on the expensive side.

In toronto downtown, average 1 bedroom condos are $1250-2000

  • $1200 is still pretty cheap for that kind of house/apartment. I live in northern california and i pay $950 for 1 bed, 1 bath, living area and kitchen together!

  • OMG! FOR THE MOST TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCE COUNTRY ON EARTH...THE HOMES ARE PRIMITIVE!!

  • Your house is awesome dude. Many homes in Japan are minimal and don't have a lot of things or room to put them. You have a very nice set up, very comfy and cozy lots of entertainment....goodluck with everything you do god bless!

  • Awesome house dude lotsa houses are limited and minimal with thing...you have a very nice lay out comfy and cozy and lots of entertainment :) goodluck with anything in the future god bless!

  • 8:37 ghost in the left of the screen????

  • Are you living in a Tokyo area, and that is why your rent is so high?

Is it true, that in Japan everyone needs a gurantor for their rent, if they want to rent a house?

Asking alot, because I am moving to Japan next year, and it is super important for me, that I have a place to live when I arrive there.

  • !!you sound like the guy from south park!

  • mmkay... lol u sound like the principle in south parth... good work though liking the videos... planning on watchin all of them mmkay

  • Nice video and house. I too, like the old style Japanese homes. I don't know why people would remark about how much you pay for rent!!! That's stupid! Rent prices are different everywhere! I live in L.A. and when my relatives come to visit from Tenn. they just about flip over the cost of houses here to compared to there. Keep the video's coming!!!!

  • gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gundams ggggooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo otaku

  • you have a love Oregon sticker on your car :) are you from Oregon??

i live in Oregon and there every were...at first i didn't notice because i see them every were then i was all wait hes in japan! and then i was all whoa! now your starting to see more of the keep Portland weird stickers hear tho.

  • wow thats a shitload of gundam toys

  • Hey man, how is it in japan with tattoos? Because I plan on moving there in a few years, but I hear that people with tattoos are treated differently.

  • Really nice house man. But I wanted to ask, What is the typical layout for smaller places?

  • nice ^^ and cool german t-shirt ;)

  • U HAVE WHITE PS3 That's nice dude

  • I would be very happy if i lived in that house with my girlfriend. You are a "lucky" dude.

  • japan is fucked up....

  • @jessica28168 they have no crime, fast & on-time trains, and beer in vending machines - you could live worse places. But yeah, they are pretty strange too.

  • you still live here?

  • lol hanging clothes on the balcony "the old fashioned way" ... silly me always assumed its the normal, less energy wasting way ;)

  • thats a nice house.pretty big bedroom for a japanese house based on what i see on tv

  • So fucking wanna move to japan now. Even more than I did ten minutes ago.

  • i wanna visit japan one day, or probably live in it

  • OH SNAP UNRESTED!

    pretty good gundam collection

I hadn't seen this video till now

    thumbs up!

  • Wow, looks nice. Now, how did you come to live in a house?

What do you pay in rent, please?

Other fees? The electricity, garbage fees, food, internet fees, please?

Thanks -- the devil is in the details :)

  • Comment removed

  • wow really cool will move over there one day and otaku ooooooookkkkkkkk guy like you are so much better really you are such a baka any hu nice vid keep them coming later

  • Is your GF japanese?

  • $1,200? not bad actually and not much different from here in miami except for $1,200 you'd probably get a nice 2 bedroom apartment but videos like this make me wanna rethink moving to japan cuz the not heater or dryer and that bathroom "tub".. lol idk..

  • wow you are so otaku

  • lol the gundams don't surprise me :P

  • very cool, so much i did know before

  • nnnnnkay????....nnnnnkayyy?....nnnkay?

    nnnkay?nkayyy??nnnnkay?

    :D:D

  • Are u kidding me?? No dryer, no oven, no dishwasher?? That's not true. It's probably because you live in an apartment, but saying noone in Japan has something is too much of a generalization.

  • no i live in a house, and yeah maybe some people do have that stuff but there is an exception to everything i say. but the fact remains it is extremely rare to have here.

  • why did u move to Japan?I know its awesome but do u have a house in America?

  • @unrested

We've had an oven for a long time; these days a lot of microwaves double as electric ovens and they're not that uncommon. Ours is big enough to roast a turkey. Some people *do* have dryers, but usually they don't have a vapour outlet; they just tumble the clothes round and round, which must take ages. I'm happy to say we have a *real* dryer, with an outlet for the vapour. And we have just ordered a dishwasher!

  • @doublesixther12 : I've been to Japan many times. Everyone has a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and other electronic appliances. This guy is probably living in a low income neighborhood where most foreigners live. The real residents of Japan have better things than this. LOL. Japan is a rich country.

  • @OS253 lol I live I was born in Japan so I should know. Which city have you visited?

  • @OS253 He lives in an appartment with someone else i think so...

  • @doublesixther12 i don't have a dish washer... does that make me different?

  • big up 4 teh gundam!!!

  • YAY! ^_^

  • Thanks for the tour!

  • I FUCKING LOVE GUNDAM

  • I know, people do make a big fuss about no shoes in the house. pretty much all my family members do that, even the ones not from asian countrys (I'm like mixed race by the way).

  • Nice house by the way!

  • I find it wierd that people make so much fuss about the no-shoe policy, i live in norway and there is no way you walk with shoes inside the house, you take em off right after you enter the door, i tought this was common in most country's

  • it does make alot of sense, especially when you see tatami mat. although when moving furniture i admit i am put at wits end.

  • dude why u live in japan?? not that its wrong, but do u work hter or somthing? lucky

  • For a major city that's not expensive, with a GARAGE to boot!!! I'd take a bigger kitchenor Garage for a smaller bedroom. Very nice place though. I love the Japanese tradition of no shoes in the house, there's a reason for that you know....

  • wow! thats so expensive... no wonder families arn't that large in Japan. I have 6 siblings an I can't imagine how expensive it would be for a family that size to live there.

  • Unrested what is a good job in Japan to make a good amount of money that will allow you to have a girlfriend or a wife 2,2 dogs 2 children and a decent size house

  • and gundam collections

  • THE Gundam anime? You mean the 50+ series that are still continuing???? You obviously get paid too much.

  • damn them gundams most have taken you awhile specialy the big ones

  • mmmmmmmm k hheheheheh

  • i think that your house is a fine house. it's perfect for just the both of you.

it's definitely a home that you should be proud of.

also, i think the way you constructed those Gundam models is ace!

  • Wow, no ovens. That one actually surprised, even though i understand the reasoning behind it.

And Naruto's in the bathroom. Lol :P

Prices of renting seems like they're pretty much the same as in Norway, so probably no big problem for me adjusting there though ^^

    Sweet looking house btw! :)

  • im in a near by town in vancouver canada in a townhouse. 4 bed 2 bath. and we pay 1200/mo. i guess you just have to pay for comfort in japan.

  • i live in a 1 bedroom by myself in los angeles for 1695, and your "house" is bigger than my apartment. so you're saying i could get more? wow!

  • You house is like a museum!

  • no oven = no cake :/ ??

  • awesome you have a skateboard

you have to do a video on skating in Japan

  • You cant skate on the sidewalks, you get in trouble

  • Your house is more traditional than my house in Japan. I like all the gundams.

  • Very cute!!! oh...and your house too :)

  • True, in nyc 1,200$ can barely get you an apartment....

  • I've been to NYC, and with 1200$, you'd be lucky to get one room, let alone the whole apartment.

  • Wow, your house is great compared to what I've seen before.

  • Was it 1200 for the house? Cause that is really really cheep in Toronto and surrounding area you can't get a house that size for 1200 a month maybe a ghetto townhouse but wow you did good

  • Dude your house ROCKS!!!

  • gloomy bear!!!

......naruto in the bathroom... guess he learned more from the pervy sage then they let on. lol

  • Yey! naruto! :D lol

  • nice house bro!

  • are you stationed there?

  • what? i have nothing to do with the army. i am an english teacher.

  • oh.. sorry. That cool though. How long have you been teaching there?

  • @671cing haha... I find that hilarious given that I watched so many of his FAQs and therefore know he is a teacher.

  • you wear a german shirt? why? :D

  • que buena onda de casa, pequeña pero confortable, con una de esas me conformo en este mexico, aunque sea una casa japonesa similar.

  • yeah

  • wow that's pretty expensive for a house that size 0.o nice vid by the way. thx 4 uploading, I love Japan

  • Whats the transport like is it like they say quick and efficent?

Is it true they hate people of colour?

Is it true in japan there many frequent mini earthquakes.

  • yes.

only as much as any gaijin.

had one last night at 5am.

  • 1200 dollars, thats it ? I live in Toronto and the average rent is like 2000 dollars for a house that big.

  • great video, "übernatürliche kräfte" haha thats a cool tanktop, I saw alot of T-Shirts with german phrases on them in Japan (at beams for example).

I remember a guy at a club in Tokyo proudly showing me his shirt that said "Krankenhaus" on the back (hospital in german) ^^

Must be the same with t-shirts that have japanese on them here in europe.

  • can you afford clothes from beams? if so we need to hang out. i love having rich friends :)

  • not really haha :-) I think I bought one shirt on sale once.

but I think the graniph design tees do the same thing with using alot of german etc. on t-shirts

  • nice video.....great....hey is ur gf japanese???

  • that's tight man, it looks like you got the hook up. I'm currently a student trying to learn Japanese, a really daunting task, very difficult. I'm very lucky though since I live at my wife's familys pad in a nice area really close to the nagoya castle.

  • u rock nice house and collections!

  • well what do u expect they are all small and not that big as a country so space is way to expensive. not really tailored for west. guess u cant blame them for that ther target is a 5.5 foot family so not bad for them. dam i used to have a tent the size of ur house no shit. like 3 bedroom tent for 8 ppl.

  • are you watching south park? m'kay?? :p

  • And no dish washer???? How are you suppose to wash dishes?

  • cool house by the way but I'm confused about the dishwasher. How do you wash dishes then?

  • oh yeah, not many of those either. 2nd strongest economy in the world but they dont have, ovens, dishwashers, dryers, and central a/c and heat. mostly due to space.

  • Ok maybe I'm confusing myself. By dishwasher, I mean you know a sink where I can wash my plates. Not the electric stuff where it automatically washes dishes. No no that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if Japan has kitchen sinks to wash dishes.

Also, about the dryer, are there laundromat store where I can dry my clothes?

  • oh yeah yeah of course lol. they are sanitary nonetheless.

  • no OVEN IN JAPAN SAY WHAT!!! No way that can't. IS IT??

  • in the city...unless you are are crazy rich nope. maybe bigger houses in rural areas, but they are still very uncommon.

  • 1200$ is not that expensive.........

Me and my friend have to pay 1520 AUS$ per month in Brisbane......for a 2bedroom2bathroom apartment~~~~~~~well, it might be slightly bigger than urs but still its not a house~

  • that has to be waaay bigger we have 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and then only a living room and kitchen. also no central a/c, no central heat, no oven, and we are sharing the walls with 2 houses on each side and no yard at all.

  • Haha, I'm Aussie as well and I was thinking the same thing ("$1200 a month? That's not expensive!"). I guess we have astronomically high rent rates here or something. Nice video btw unrested, your stuff is always great to watch.

  • thats pretty big nice house

  • How long have you live in Japan?.. I love japanese and their tech.. and after watching your video i learn somthing about myself that I did not know, and that is I don't think I like japanese homes. it seems a bit too compress for me, Great Video though!!!!

  • 3 years now. as for size well, its a small island with 127,000,000 people.

  • i dunno if you've already asked this question but what do you do for a living? it's a pretty nice place you got there.

  • i am a junior high school teacher and my gf 10 time world max k1 champion. ok maybe i lied a little bit. but ill leave you to guess about which person.

  • not bad for that price.

  • u cant where yer shoes in the house

  • yeah and in tatami you cant even wear slippers

  • can you have a bigger house in japan

  • hey man that's a good price compare were i live in new york

  • i think ny still reigns supreme when it comes to rental prices or at least ties with tokyo.

  • Cool.I visited Tokyo afew times.I guess you would be able to speak Japanese.

  • i speak japanese but it is not required for my job. also my speach and reading level is only about on junior high school level.

  • Cool.I guess you work in Japan.Where abouts in Japan are you

  • yeah been a teacher for here almost 3 years now in osaka

  • How does your girl friend look?

  • I love the bedroom area. Very stylish and spacious with a traditional feel.

  • GREAT VIDEO.

But you might wanna save up for buying a new camera instead of buying a collection of GUNDAM figures .... LOL

    THANKS FOR THE VIDEO

  • i know right?! its really ridiculious

  • dude u have a white ps3 wtf man lol where do u get one of those i have never seen one they look tight

  • when i bought it i didnt even know they existed in white until the sales person was like - white, silver, or black? definitely happy i bought the japanese ps3...region free with games and bluerays baby !

  • Your girlfriend's a gourmand!

Taking a 118 BMW in Japan!

    W 118BMW !!!

  • she actually didnt want it. she wanted something tiny and cheap, but her mom bought it because she believes bmws are super safe. i mean i guess they are.

  • You've become so successful in japan, I'm so jelous!

  • Very nice video man, I wanna move to Japan because i heard they have awesome animes, food, and vending machines(i guess). Lol sushi all the way

  • Yeah. Otaku is all over the world.

By the way i was on asian website ( im asian by the way )

and saw a guy have a shelve FULL of comic book. He took a picture that he is organizing it ( started in 8 A.M. ) and ended organizing it at 11 P.M. the book was covering WHOLE WALL and he still have light novel to put it in.

  • mind telling me the "asian website" ? lol

  • wow, look at those tattoos. I can imagine the problems you face with those!

    p.s

awsome place by the way haha, where abouts do you live?

  • i live in fuminosato between tennoji and showacho. do you know it?

and yes the tattoos make my summer far far hotter than yours lol.

  • nice collection

  • how do you cook an apple pie in japan!?

    :-(

  • well if you are rich you have a nice house in the rural areas that has a small oven. or you can buy a microwave sized one and maybe fit a pie inside. otherwise there isnt alot of apple pie in japan. here it is azuki bean.

  • Is that a german shirt!? Im a beginner at learning it, so Im not totally positive what it says =__+;

I think the size of their fridge represent the amount of food they eat compared to the US. and YES, space heaters are godly.

  • i studied german all the way through high school but i am total crap at it.

it pretty much translates to supernatural powers.

yeah nihonjin definitely eat alot less and yes space heaters are you best friend through those cold osaka nights. just be careful onetime i melted part of my futon lol.

  • What?! No ovens!?

  • ok some places come with them but it is super rare especially the deeper you get in the city.

in rural areas people still get them built into there houses and you can buy microwave sized ones too, but fitting some dishes is a bit tricky.
