  • really 25 hp thats pretty good. over where u went how much did they charge u to install and tune it? and also was the dyno included when they installed and tuned your car or was it seperate and u had to pay extra to get it dyno tested?

  • Best thing to do is call Racers Edge Tuning and get pricing info. It's best to talk to them and explain what your goals are, then they can help you achieve it.

  • putting 1 of these chips do really feel a difference big time? and how much horsepower did u gain?. i plan on going to swanson performance to get there chip they said they well charge me $400 to get it put in and tune.

  • For the S197 Mustangs, a flash tuner is used rather than a physical chip like the old days. I think the SN95's are the same.

    Typically from a CAI and tune, you can expect an honest 25+HP to the wheels.

    I recommend going to RET in Downey.

  • I would also put my money on the 2008 charger, if the Bill's mustang had four flat tires and 4 spark plugs pulled. Come on get serious a 2008 Charger R/T or Challenger R/T couldn't beat a stock Mustang GT let alone one that is S/C.

  • Yes the charger has more hp, but you have to look at weight and gearing. The charger weighs just around 4000 where as the mustang weighs 3550. RWHP the challenger will have about 275-280 and an auto mustang will have 250-255 and a manual mustang will have 260-265, so pwr to weight advantage goes to the mustang. You would be even crazier to think an Charger R/T would be a mustang with F/I. I bet Taco Bill is putting down close to 400-420 rwhp.

  • i own a 06 daytona R/T it's 360 HP. Has borla exhaust , long tubes, and a diablo tune. A stock S197 with like exhaust and airfilter, will run over my car off of light if they can drive. I've had three mustangs in the past, and I'm looking to purchase a blown roush soon. So.. it's obvious what my opinion is. Charger is just to heavy, and even the srt8 only has a 3:55 gear. which has always been dodge's performance ratio. My wife likes the charger tho. :)

  • The charger is quick, 0-60 5.6 and the 1/4 mile in low 14s, but a stock S197 mustang will do 0-60 in 5.1 to 5.3 and the 1/4 mile in mid to high 13s.

  • No, Motor trend, other mags and real world experience. My 06 Mustang w/ 91 tune/intake and UDP has dynoed 302 RWHP/312 RWTQ which is about 345 hp and 360 LBS of tq at the crank. I have seen other stock mustangs dyno 255-270 stock. Around here we only have a 1/8 mile track. My best time is 8.45 which is about a low 13 to high 12s.

  • no way, doesnt matter how much power the charger or challenger has they weigh to much

  • but the mustang has a smaller motor and cant beat a challenger or camaro without mods

  • there is a professional video review on here of the 2010 gt against a challenger and a camaro and the 1/4 mile times where different by .1 - .3 seconds.... so that mustang is better cause it gets a good enough with a smaller engine

  • That is a Shaker hood scoop, not much performance gain (1-2 HP) but it looks and sounds B/A!

  • KTtownGT the shaker doesnt do shit for the sound and hardly anything for the performance with out CAI
