  • well.........I'm not the brightest spot on the page but...where might I acquire this DVD?

    Nice playing.

  • Im gonna leave the Billy F gibbons comments alone just cause im in a good mood.....Nice to see this again.Peace

  • Acoustic blues at its best. Great voice, great playing, great feeling...

    Thank you so much,

    Laurent.

  • Rick was my first teacher, and I was his first student.

    Thank you Rick!

  • Rick was my first teacher, and I was his first student.

    Thank you Rick!

  • Rich Fines is a great teacher.

He admits that he plays without knowing what his fingers are doing. When is his teaching mode he stops to explains each note by its string, fret and finger.

I judge his teaching style better than Roy Book Binder (who is great) and Rory Block (also good). I own many blues DVDs. Most are poor. This one is the best at teaching technique.

He doesn't break down his songs. He teaches blues techniques in E and A that that he uses in his songs.

    Thank you Mr. Fines

  • love your voice man. Real smooth

  • Peterborough + Rick Fines = Quintessential Ontarian Canadiana. Some people are in it for a year or two. Rick is in it for Life.

  • that sounds like billy F. gibons style of blues picking

  • @giutar24 thats billy fuckin gibons alright:D

  • this guy came to my school and gave me and my music class lessns was pretty cool

  • This is what i call smooth....Rick Fines is the man!!!!

  • this isn't a lesson

  • It's a sample from Rick's instructional DVD. We generally like to show a sample of the performer's musical style rather than a teaching excerpt as there is some entertainment value in the performance.

  • Sounds pretty good to me. You can see everything he's doing...no need to yap about it like everybody else who wastes time with the yap crap.

  • Okay - so how does that help with the buying decision? Good players more often than not make lousy teachers. any body who follows sports knows that.

  • Now that's what I call the blues.

  • Back Up From Zero.

Rick is an amazing guitarist...and I think he's getting even better (if that's possible).

  • Wow, what song is this ?
