  • Thanks Ken, we are just starting out with our photography venture here at Harrisburg PA you can check out some of my and my partner's work but I can

  • Finally somebody pronounced the "Nikon" as "Knee - con." It should be that way and not like "Nike - con." Nice video Ken, I have a question though, I am using a APS-C sensor Canon camera particularly the 450D or The Canon XSi and I'm using a Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8 L lens. My question is, am I getting the best out of my Lens or is there something wrong using an L lens with a APS-C sensor?

  • @rheamark2001 L lenses on a Crop sensor (APS-C) are great. It's good to use the best glass you can - the sensor can easily handle it. I use L lenses on my Canon 60D all the time. (I had a quick look at your channel - cute baby: Zach - you will have a ton of opportunities to practice you photography no doubt!)

  • @rheamark2001 I agree with your comment on Knee-con.

Honestly speaking I used to pronouned Nike-con

  • @sanjunilugal get my free guide from the link - you can compare DSLR cameras and I also go through good lens options. You may want to consider my EASYDSLR course - I have a video on Nature and Macro Photography with gear recommendations for both. You could take my course first (it's Lifetime membership) and go through the videos BEFORE buying your camera and lenses - that way you will have a much more in depth understanding of what gear you need. Click the link in the info above.

  • I got a canon rebel t3i and I'm ready to start photography/low level cinematography... What should I do besides learn from YouTube videos online?

  • @Serouisly You can learn from a bunch of youtube videos but I have created a DSLR photography course that makes it easier - it's well structured and takes you through the steps in the right order check it out at easydslr.com

  • Which camera is more beautiful if I want to capture pictures and record? Nikon N90 ?

  • @mrkijaya you could get the new Nikon D5100!

  • Which camera is more beautiful if I want to capture pictures and record? Nikon N90 ?

  • @mrkijaya Hi - click the link just under my video and you can get my free buyers guide to compare good cameras for photos and video.

  • Would the cannon T2i be a good camera? I think im going to purchase this and its in my price range.

  • @tylerrrx21 The T2i is a great camera! I recommend the T3i if you can pay a little more (around $65 extra) but if not, you will be able to get awesome shots with the T2i. They've just added some nice extras on the T3i - like the swivel LCD screen - but nothing that will really give you better photos.

    T3i on special now for $763.20 with 18-55mm lens - goo(DOT)gl/UeEVu - replace (DOT) with a period - That's a great deal!

  • @tylerrrx21 dont get the t3i. get the t2i. the t2i is exactly the same as the t3i. the only difference is the the t3i has a screen that you can adjust to your liking. get the t2i. unless an adjustable screen is waht you really want.

  • @aa12610 Not just the swivel screen - Other upgrades over the T2i include: Basic+ creative shooting mode, Scene intelligent A+ mode, Digital zoom at 3X to 10X (some image loss beyond 3X), Creative filters (seen on 60D), Video snapshot mode (takes short videos and allows you to easily edit them together with music – in camera!), Slightly larger and heavier body - but like I said before nothing that would really give you better photos - I must admit I do use the swivel screen on my 60d a lot.

  • Keep up the good work. You really do know your stuff.

  • @ian559fresno Thanks! I appreciate your support.

  • What makes the biggest difference, the camera, the lens or the settings?

  • @TheStrangerInTheRye All 3! All the cameras I recommend in my guide can give you awesome photos. You need a reasonable lens but you really need to pick a lens for your situation. If you do a lot of low light photography a good set of f/1.4 or f/1.2 Prime lenses may be your best option. For Wildlife - a good 400mm or 600mm Telephoto. So it all depends what you are photographing. If you set your camera to Totally the wrong settings with an awesome DSLR and lens you WILL get a bad photo.

  • The new Sony A77 looks like the BEST camera out. Thanks for your tips

  • @ian559fresno the A77 does look good - but I really haven't had a chance to test one. The translucent mirror tech scares me a little for low light conditions. I'll have to do a side by side test one day with my Canons. 24.3 MP does sound great. Thanks for your comment :)

  • Please answer, What is a good quality HD dslr camera for more of video taking as well as picture taking.

  • @tylerrrx21 If you download my guide you can compare cameras but the quick answer is get a Canon 60D. If you can't afford a 60D get a Canon T3i (600D). If you can spend more get the 7D or the 5d Mark II. I would definitely go with Canon if you want to do HD video - so just get one of the cameras I have listed according to what you can afford.

  • t2i!! ftw!

  • Hi,I am looking for a first DSLR for aircraft photography and am stuck on choice! what camera would you recommend? thanks

  • @concordetejas4576 Are you looking at taking photos of aircraft -or from aircraft? If you click the link under my video you can get my free buyer's guide for DSLR camera recommendations. A Canon T3i (600D) or Canon 60D would be a good start. If you prefer Nikon the Nikon D5100 or D7000 if you can push the budget. Either way you will want to get a decent wide angle zoom if you are taking close up aircraft shots. 16-35mm or wider. Investing in a good lens is going to be key to getting good shots.

  • What's a good enthusiast camera for street photography? Lens also, please.

  • @IrvingsCreations Canon T3i (600D) or Nikon D5100 with around a 16-35mm and a 50mm f/1.4 prime lens for low light..

  • hey rayan !! for the bennigers like me , i am interested in taking wild life photos.. which dslr cam can be buyed !Please tell me the details !!

  • @sagaran007 Hi - just click on the link under my video above - you can get my free DSLR buyer guide. I have just updated it with the New Canon T3 (1100D), Canon T3i (600D) and Nikon D5100. I think for a beginner doing wildlife photos the Canon T3i or Nikon D5100 would both be great choices. They are not that expensive so you can then put money into good lenses. You will need at least a 200mm and above for wildlife photos with 2x teleconvertor if you can't afford a bigger telephoto.

  • hi ken..im ryan juz watch your video and download your guide....it helps me alot..thanks! now i have idea about DLSR's..for a beginner like me what would you recommend that easy to use but like pro the shots. also can you teach me basic steps to get a great shot? i hope you can help me...i'm really eager to learn photography but lack of time...thanks! and GOD BLESS:)

  • @aponkan21 Hi Ryan - I'm glad you found my guide useful. I would look at the Canon T3i or Nikon D3100 to start off with. The guide I talk about the Canon T2i but the T3i has replaced it and does not cost much more. If you are on a tight budget the Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm kit lens would be a great start it's about US$650 - follow my link in the guide and check "What Other Items Do Customers Buy..." and you will see the option with the 18-55mm only. I'll let you know when my DSLR course is live

  • @kendpc that was so much help to me:) now i have an idea what to buy...yes it does help alot!! and thank you for that...i will wait for that great course:) thanks again ken and more followers to join...

  • @aponkan21 You are welcome! Let me know what camera you get in the end.

  • @kendpc Ken I read alot reviews but in the end I choose the nikon d3100 as a beginner. Im more on photography..i want to learn more about it. i tried to use corel photo x5, picasa 3 and capture nx 2 to edit some photos without formal training, or learning just trial and error and some research:) can you advice me if im wrong on it? do we have to use photo enhancement software to view the great capture? if we can avoid some failure shots..i hope with just the camera with can make that :) thanks

  • @aponkan21 The Nikon D3100 is a great camera - you should get some awesome shots. My upcoming DSLR online training course will have a module on photo editing - there is some basic information to improve your photos. If you are still on my email list (from downloading my DSLR guide) you will be the first to know when my course is released.

  • @kendpc i will wait for that ken....i cant wait anymore...thanks alot ken...God bless...

  • The best cam Is the d90 and/or 550d

  • Do all DSLRs shoot video, I need a very good cam that shoots Photos, & HD Video

  • @noobsyb0t Check out my free guide - link on my channel page - All the cameras I have in the guide have HD video but some of the Nikon models only do 720p or 1080p at 24fps - you need to look at the Canon models for better video like 720p60fps and 1080p30fps. You could also check my Blog page digitalphotocentralDOTcom to see a preview of the new canon t3i - a little cheaper than the 60D but with a swivel LCD screen.

  • are they all yours? the ones used by u n ur demo?

  • @julietteatecpat Yes - this is my gear (some of it) - I was a professional wedding and event photographer for 4 years

  • Hi, I'm a Culinary Student and I want to buy DSLR because I want to compile my dishes.

I'm not really into cameras, but I want to buy DSLR because of the Quality of the Image. Can you suggest what exact name, brand and model of the dslr fits for a beginner like me?

    :) Thank you!

  • @Imewora Hi, Just go to my DSLR Buyers Guide video -link under my video- and put your name and email at the end of the video to get my free buyers guide - that should help you decide.

If you are looking at getting a Canon entry level camera the new T3 and T3i have come out so I would get the T3i instead of the T2i now as they are around same price. Check the article on my BLOG

  • Great info!

  • The Nikon D90 would fit between the D3100 and the D7000 in my guide. The D90 is a great camera but I did not include it in my guide as a number of people were having error messages and various lockups. Not all D90s have had the issue but enough people have had it - so I was concerned about recommending a camera with known issues - however common.

  • I have a question where does the nikon d90 fit into your guide? thanks

  • @jessicadacosta Hi Jessica - please see my response at the top.

  • nice job. but it looks like you are talking to the table. try to look into the camera that records you.

i hope you do more tutorials and reviews :-)

    regards

  • @linmarna Thanks for your comments!
