This guys arguments are so full of holes, that its almost absurd that anyone pays him any attention. But I guess we must...he is not even an atheist. Atheism does not exist. His entire position seems more like a political ideology than anything else.

Its a point of view. That lots of ppl have.

It exists because ppl share that view. That is defined as atheism.

God doesnt exist bcs ppl believe in him. It doesnt make atheists right. Or theists right. If a beliefsystem exists or not depends only on the believers. not if its true or not...

So theists and christians exists as do atheists. God is yet to be proven.

martinthulin - I understand philosophy just find, thank you. Thats your problem, you need to get your head out of the book.

I made no comment about atheism in term of right and wrong. i said there is no right and wrong. Reality is what you define it to be and words (like math) are a human construct. It is a presupposition (an axiom) to even say there is some objective reality to be discovered. Read Godel and apply it to science.

Well, I have not said what my belief system is.

His arguments are full of holes and totally built on axioms that can not be proved or disproved. I'm not against evolution or anything like that. He's a fine bloke but his arguments are make no sense. I wouldn't base my life on what he says,

I dont personally like him doin debates.....

I "kinda" like what he wrote.... but no more then that....

But i definitely like Darwin... Now thats a clever man.... Even if he was wrong... He was on to something....

martinthulin - Look, I have no real problem with Dawkins. I just think he's in it for the money and I find it funny how people see him as some kind of guru or something. Some of his interviews are the best.. But I have seen him get destroyed in debates. He usually relies on some cheap one liners that get the crowd clapping. He's in it for the money, just like those tv evangelist. He's creating a new religion because he understands people need that.

I guess if you want to call truth, reason, making conclusions based on evidence a religion you could make that claim. I don't doubt Dawkins enjoys making money, who doesn't, but I believe he is passionate about science, education, and reason. over the past hundred years science has increased human lifespan by 30 years, cured many diseases, given us automobiles and the internet so we should all be thanking Dawkin's for fighting for science.

@Jshect - Dawkins is not figting for science. Science is just fine and does not need him. The question about the existence of GOD is not a valid scientific question. Keep religion out of science and stop this bullshit the Dawkins is selling. He's emotional and it some deep seeded child experience that is probably driving him, not science.
