  • I'm not drawing conclusions or anything, but I sure have noticed with all these BBC weight loss shows the people involved can really knock a few back! Not so bad in this episode but in many others they talk about it... I learned the word "tipple" thanks to these shows lol

  • 0.57 looks like jonah hill ... LOL

but really, fuck genetics, you just eat too much mate

  • Holistic way my villo to you Mr Bob Cotton. I wonder how much money you are getting from this :S

  • Why would anyone "hope" to have the fat gene? So you don't have to do anything about it? If I was fat, i would rather just hear: You CAN lose weight if you diet and exercise!!

  • @TheSnuffy1994 it's probably just a good excuse, maybe they don't want to make an effort and if they tell themselves they have the fat gene, they don't have to feel bad about eating too much and other people can't judge them cause it's not their fault :P

  • wow...the fat genes.. really?..-w-

  • wow, bob cotton, defensive much?

  • Yesss, now being skinny isn't looking to bad. Time to start slamming some of those high calory foods down!

    :D

  • "I'm hoping I have the fat gene." Really??

  • what did people say was the reason of them being fat before genes were discovered? probably another preposterous excuse

  • my friend's parents and grandparents are all on the skinny side, yet my friend is overweight. its not all about genes.

  • @sprice676 you my friend deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for that statement.

  • pork scratchings....

  • When Bob Cotton shows up on the screen (at 9:12 in the end of part 4) you can very soon see that the organization he works for has been seriously misspelled on the screen because it says:

Bob Cotton, Chief Executive, British Hospitality Association

    when it instead should say:

Bob Cotton, Chief Executive, British Hostility Association

That Bob Cotton is an aggressive 110% scumbag SOB !!

  • D; so many people blame genes for being fat.;/

  • how is being fat hereditary?????HAHAHA that's the stupidest thing I ever heard!! Really, if your fat and all you eat is salad and lean meat for your diet, you will loose weight no matter how fat your mom, dad, or ancestors were.

  • I think the link between obesity within families has less to do with genes being handed down, and more to do with habits being handed down.

  • i'm in ny and most people just ignore the calorie info on the menu. and it's because they don't know what it means or how much they're supposed to have a day. it's a great practice though for those of us who know what's going on!

  • You can tell this isn't a BBC programme. They haven't made the obligatory trip to the United States to burn up some licence fee payers money.

  • @FreddyTheJumpingCat hahahhahha

  • some people are morbidly stubborn

  • it's amazing... the excuses. every single one of them is just in denial.

  • HA Put these lazy idiots in the military (back in the 60s preferably) and we'll see how their "fat genes" keep them from being lazy fatasses. BULLSHIT.

  • wtf he's HOPING he has a fat gene?! he's really HOPING he can't do anything about his weight? that's disgusting

  • @mamemimoma yeah, becouse all of these people are just blaming everything else than themself, coz of their weight...

  • 5:24 He is hot

  • Some people have fat genes and some just have fat jeans

  • My BMI is 20.5 , which is healthy , even though I look fat. But I'm still healthy. This matter is very complicated. Never blame the thing on factors like metabolism. You should go to doctors, get the test done, and work towards a healthy BMI.

  • now im afraid of eating out..

  • The fat gene only occurs in about 10-15% morbible obese (bmi over 40) individuals It's unlikely most most people have it.

  • @095034006 Morbidly. The word is morbidly, as in, deathly.

  • @095034006 The word is morbidly. Not morbible

  • @tesseria2008 can't spell

  • Why do people have starters? If I eat out, which is like 1-2 a year, I just eat one dish and probably have half of it packed away to eat the next day.

  • @zeldaofarel Good for you. Want a fucking cookie? :P

  • i don't know about inheriting the fat gene from your family, buddy. your gran looks pretty thin in that family photo.

  • @AnotherRandomTuber I'd say Granny looks sick, like cancer sick.

  • i hate when people make excuses

  • what asian guy?

  • @buraburayoshi oh okay i saw him. Yeah asian guys are really cute.

  • It's true people will use it as an excuse, but the gene just gives susceptibility to weight. So if you eat more your more likely to gain and POSSIBLY retain it. Your body just stores more fat then others. But that's no excuse; it means you just have to work harder and eat healthy.

  • @BowieStardust072 But why harder? If we are told we all should be the same than why is it a few have to work harder while it's nothing for others. Clearly not everyone is the same thus society & those agreeing with it can go fuck themselves. BMIs are a fluke. Society says I have to look like the bitches in the magazine. I could work all I want I will still look like a boxer not a model. Are you telling me that's not genetic? Get out of here with that bullshit.

  • @LadyBludgeon 2 all b the same never meant every1 had 2 work the same 2 Although i dont agree w/ every1 being the same but society accepts ppl who hav traits that r w/ a certain perimeter It might not b right but human evolved as social animals that lived in packs/clans being xtremely different could possibly destroy the clan mind looks personality I wasn't talking about ppl who want 2 look a form but about ppl who r obese R u angry that human mind is bias?or it means more work?why so angry

  • They are actually researching on the leptin gene, and it's connection to weight. But I really do think that in the end of the day it's all about your lifestyle. Anything else, when we're not talking about medical problems, are only excuses.

That Asian dude was cute, btw. :D

  • @TheCarlScharnberg Lifestyle doesn't explain how someone can have pizza and bars of chocolate as a snack and still be underweight.

  • As far as genetics goes I believe that there are ectomorphs, mesomorphs and endomorphs. He and his family look like they are a family of endomorphs, but its not the end of the world, he can still lose weight.

He needs to do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day, go to the gym at least 3 days a week and lift weights (12 to 15 reps per exercise, 30 seconds rest period) and consume a low calorie (for him around 2000 - 2200 should do it), high protein diet and stop eatting crap.

    Problem solved.

  • @HotKebab lol it doesnt matter what you "believe" about science and fact, thats just a bunch of made up bullshit. source:wikipedia, i agree with you on the exercising, but all he really needs to do is eat less calories than he expends each day

  • are u fucking serious a fucking gene just what fat people need another thing to blame their weight on besides themselves
