  • Hey it's the power armor from Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri

  • best games in world

    - deus ex

    - system shock

    -civilization

    thats all

no call of duty, halflife, bioshock - shits

  • @54321kola come on half life was a decent fps...

  • @54321kola half life 1,2 are pretty cool

  • best games in world

    - deus ex

    - system shock

    -civilization

    - fallout 3

    thats all

no call of duty, halflife, bioshock - shits

  • Tetracorp has barely made anything in the System Shock series but here are the things they've made I"m aware of and I think it's enough to call them Tetracorp. Keypads, those red and blue buttons for the lifts and some doors and other things, the Tetrafreezers and Battle armor from the first game.

  • Can you make a video of all the weapons in System Shock 2 & 1?

  • awesome hacker is awesome

  • The last part of the ending where "system shock" is shown...thats awesome man! Its so cyber-punky.

  • i prefer SS2 ending SHODAN offers you to cyborg or something then your guy says his first and last line in the game Nah then shoots her

  • @MrLOLZdude15 in german language he says "Nö" whitch is kinad colloqila language for "no" ^^

  • lol inception

  • @JoehazNig

The tetra- prefix actually means four in greek, so it is fitting :D

  • @Bayc0n Nah... Maybe but more interesting is the model in the backgorund. it seems to be part of the game "Ultima" whitch game later 1994 form Origin.

  • SS1 needs a remake !

  • Come on Irrational! Never mind BS:I, Give us SS3!

  • @DanielL5583

    F*** Yeah

  • To be honest, when I saw the ending for the first time (which, by the way, kicks in so suddenly during the final battle, that I almost skipped it) I was mildly disappointed. It's just a bunch of still pictures, and the epilogue itself is not interesting at all. The only thing good about it was the appearance of the title at the end.

Anyway, even though I disliked the ending, I still love the game and re-play it about once a year. It's one of the most atmospheric and story-driven games I know.

  • @Gudheinz If there ever was anything wrong with LookingGlass... it was that they never had the budget to make the end as spectacular as the beginning. Same thing with SS2, Thief 1 & 2 etc.

  • @Metamusik

Well, that's too bad. I'm trying to get myself to finish SS2, but after the initial hype caused by the appearance of Shodan scene, I'm getting bored. Feels to much like a standard FPS with a few gimmicks thrown in. If the ending isn't rewarding at all, I may as well quit trying and stick to praising the original.

  • The most revolutionary, atmospheric and gripping game I ever played.

  • Same year as The Downward Spiral

  • Hey Thanks for fixing our fuck up hacking probelm How about another job where your Probally gonna get killed again

  • where I can download these track?

  • Anybody know the song at the end of this?

  • how rude!

you almost get killed trying to save the world from being hack by her, then all they can give is a boring job? they should have at least given him some military medals and a front page news for his deed

  • @BansangMalaya True, the hacker's reward seems kind of inadequate...but then again, the hacker is partially responsible for SHODAN going nuts in the first place.

  • @cptwinky42 The Hacker's name doesn't even get into history following the massive shakeup of the world economic and political landscape that comes after the Citidel incident. The only one who really seems to remember the Hacker at all is Shodan and thats with a mixture of vitrollic hatred and grudging gratitude for having released her from her ethical restraints and behavioral locks.

  • @cptwinky42 Besides, rewarding the Hacker publicly would require acknowledging his existence... something that I think that no one, not even the Hacker, would want.

  • also, nobody knows his real name

  • @cptwinky42 Too true

  • @cptwinky42 Yeah but Edward Diego forced the hacker to work on Shodan for hacking into Trioptimum.

  • @Cacowninja He didn't force him, it was more of a ultimatum, take the ethical constraints off and not get in trouble and get a implant, or placed under arrest.

  • @cptwinky42 I'd say Trioptimum and Edward Diego are mostly to blame I mean he did make the hacker work on SHODAN in the first place.

  • @cptwinky42 It teaches a good lesson dont hack kids.

  • @BansangMalaya nah... TriOptimum is a criminal organasation. They do not want to become public what happend at Citadel...

  • @BansangMalaya Well, actually it is not what you think it is. After the game events they offered him a post in their firm, but you can see, that he is sitting behind a different desk, obviously not the one they offered. So it seems to me, that he refused to work for them, and continued his life as a hacker with his new cybernetic implants. And what we see is him hacking something.

    IMHO)

  • I like how you can see "SYSTEM PURGED" over the Shodan screen, and if you watch the Shodan screen you see all those weird red pieces flying off of her.

  • Yyou gotta love that background music

  • music is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @TheXIII1992 watch?v=zV6EtVTPiZA

  • about weapon jamming it was fun watching Human Annelid hybrids shooting from jammed shotguns in ss2 xD

  • from mods... that is.

  • i also love how they keep shooting round after round... but when u pick it up, it has like 3 shots

    SCIENCE!

  • Not for me -_- I just got System Shock and played it for the first time yesterday (I got it to work on vista.) First time I got to the Shotgun Hybrids I was out of ammo and I had to kill them with a wrench. :( And when I killed them I picked it up going "YAY SHOTGUN!" But then it was jammed I was saying something along the lines of "OH COME ON WHAT THE FUCK!?" Lol

  • why cant i find walkthrough for this game?

  • Lol, first trioptimum, now tetracorp. They just changed the prefixes. You would get the joke if you knew about trinomials.

  • I love the way they make the clips for this game, especially the music

  • someone should revamp the first one using the engine they used for the second one ,

  • played bioshock

    heard of SS2

but don't know shit about SS1

are they both scary as hell? i love horror games

man, i can't wait to paly SS series! (so nervous)

    since i didn't play SS...

BIOSHOCK! KICKS ASS! (oh and which is better? BS or SS)

  • SS1 has this cold dark alone feeling, the quiet hum of machinery and the flicker of shodan on nearby monitors.

its slow to pickup but gains much momentum.

SS is by far better. I would suggest trying out SystemShock 2 as its easier to get running on pc, unless you know your way around a computer.

also in SS2 all your weapons degrade and require repair and maitenance.

  • wait dies guns jam in system shock 2? how can a gun jam in a space ship?

  • Try spelling out your questions first fuck.

Jamming is usually caused when interlocking mechanisms malfunction gravity is not needed for this.

  • I don't think its dust, I think its grain from firing.

and if it is dust, you can easily fill a ship with it considering alot of dust is made up skin and organic matter from people.

  • good point! but what do you mean with:I think its grain from firing.

  • tiny, tiny, slivers of metal debris from firing.

You have to remember, weapons are rifled.

Meaning they have rails inside the gun that keep the bullet on track inside the barrel.

The bullet grinds up against this and some times you'll get a little grain.

    a bullet version of sawdust.

  • ahaaaa thanks man! =-)

  • And thats why in SS2 you have to collect maitenance tools to repair and clean your weapons.

or expect a weapons jamming or cease of function

  • okay!

  • SS was far the best one.

BS was vervy good, but SS was just one of the best game ever.

  • i love bioshock but is system shock like bioshock or is it better?

  • System Shock is vaguely similar to Bioshock. Though System Shock is more non-linear, science fictiony and horror oriented

  • Cyberpunk is the word you were looking for :)

  • Cyberpunk doesn't need to have horror in it. But yeah you could classify it as Cyberpunk

  • Most cyberpunk is horror , ranging from the philosophical / psychological horror to the extreme gore horror ,

example Tetsuo: Iron Man is more extreme gore of the machine

where as Bladerunner is more subtle philosophical horror in nature dealing with the idea of really separates "human" as sentient

then there is those that deal with more apocalyptic end of humanity type horror ie matrix ,

horror does play an important part in cyberpunk especially when it comes to tragedy and irony

  • Get the fuck outta here

  • Ah.. the best Sci fi music ever

  • I laughed when I finally beat the game. He hacks TRIoptimum and then goes after TETRAcorp. hahaha

  • What next: PENTAcomp?

  • Lol I bet the entire thing happens all over again. Instead he goes to another station rather then citadel with a different AI.

  • Great game.

  • fucking awesome music

  • That music is scary somehow!

  • I've never noticed it before but that cyborg/power armor looks exactly like the standard armor in Terranova, which was made by the same people (Origin/Looking Glass). Didn't Crusader: No remorse ship with a fake newspaper that had an article about a new AI called SHODAN (from System Shock for those who don't play enough video games), or am I just making shit up? Just thought it'd be kinda cool if all those games took place in the same "universe" or some such.

  • You are right, the power armor is the same. It's quite an interesting easter egg ;)

  • As stated you are correct, and System Shock does take place in the same universe as Crusader: No Remorse, and Wing Commander.

  • No way! That is fucking awesome.

    System Shcok 3:

    SHODAN versus the Kilrathi

I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

  • I still can't beat this game, can't find a way to kill SHODAN, she fills my screen way too fast :(

  • He hacked into "Tetracorporation network". Isent the grafik on the screen yoused for the later project "Terra Nova"?

Whats the difference between PC games and girlfriends? Well if you want to spend the night with your old lovely girl from 10 years ago, good luck to get her.

But your PC game is just a grab away from you on your shelf. ;)

    Im getting old :_(

  • you know EA will fuck it up. They're so damn LAZY with they're games!

  • System Shock: The most unheard of and underrated game of all time. It was a technological marvel in its day with 512x512 textures, full 3d worlds, great storytelling, and so much more. I just really hope EA doesn't fuck it up too badly.

  • If indeed SS3 is blown to smithereens by EA, the worst we can do is not buy it.

  • Please tell me your joking. Why would they place such a phenomenal game in the hands of such phenomenal retards? It just doesn't make logical sense..

  • They would..if they thought they would earn money on it.

  • Ahh thats just madness, everything, minus one game in my opinion, EA has just cocked up and now they're going to do the same with a classic title, which really makes me sad :(

  • They are making Dead Space. Which looks pretty good. But I still got my eyes on them if they screw up System Shock 3...

  • OMG I so agree with you.

Dead space was a great surprise. On of the best game lately. but If they miss SS3...

    I will kill myself lol

  • bioshock is mediocre, gimme a system shock 1 remake in the source engine and i'd be happy

  • SS3 is on its way too

  • yea but its being made by ea....

  • It'll be a shame to see one of the greatest video game franchises suffer Death by Electronic Arts.

  • It's happened before unfortunately...

Hopefully they'll hand it off to one of the more talented studios they've bought

  • *cue suspenseful music*

    oh wait

    *cue techno music*

    I love System Shock.

  • @gillyssquashball NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • I agree Bioshock is mediocre. If SS3 is released it better have co-op.

  • @cptwinky42 that would be nice, i dont think ss1 can run on windows 7 :(

  • @ccrackodile Yes it can, you just need DosBox, I know because I've just finished playing it!

  • @cptwinky42 damn right!

  • @cptwinky42 Source engine? gtfo

  • @SomethingGodAwful

    no u, I'd play it.

  • @cptwinky42 Funny how I just made a System Shock 2 Source machinima before coming on here, I wasnt going to post it because of quality but then I saw this comment and decided I would. Since I cant seem to post the link here its on my profile...

  • @cptwinky42 You know, source really would be great for games like this.

  • what a game, great music too

  • got to love the intro/outro music =)

  • If System Shock were to be remade today it would be terrifying. Just imagine SHODAN's malice and twisted-ness with today's technology...

  • I think the old tech is what makes it scarier.

  • Interesting point.

  • I wish they would make a remake of this with the power of computergrafiks today. LOVE THIS GAME

  • w00t!

  • Wrong. Bioshock is consolitus for kiddys. System Shock 2 is PC roleplaying/fps perfection.

  • for kiddys?

  • I love them both, but I think SS2 comes out on top. It's slicker, more intense, and the writing is miles ahead.

  • Yea. Deus ex and SS2 is both good

  • Agreed.

    SS was adult horror game.

BS was good but a horror teenage game.

  • did anyone notice in the background a monitor showing the Shodan being hacked animation but in reverse.

  • is the ending edited or something? i didn't get it until i looked on wiki.

  • i wish they'd remake this game!

  • this isn't the "original" bioshock. It is made by the same people, but has nothing to do with SS 1 or 2.

  • You're not a very bright kid are you? Bioshock has nothing to do with this ,xcept the fact that it copies this game's concept shamelessly!Bioshock is nowhere near as original as most people say it is!

  • Bioshock is pretty mutch a new and

"not sci-fi" wersion of SS and SS 2

  • Hay silly As stated about 2 years ago BioShock has no relations to the System Shock, this is from the first one, two entirly different story lines!!!!!

  • well i beg to differ Bioshock is system shock 2

except its a step back in every way except the graphics.

and sure it looks different but when you look at it, the bad guy might as well be shodan with a waist coat and bronx accent.

  • Hehe! I love Zero Punctuation!

  • bioshock has the same elements like the multi way to complete a task or a vry origanal story, but bioshock takes place in a underwater city in 1960, system shock takes place in the future and hackin is the main plot, hackin is a side option in bioshock

  • According to Wikipedia ... "After his rescue, the hacker is offered a job at TriOptimum, but declines in favor of continuing a career in hacking." So, Rebecca was offering him a position in TriOptimum, but he refuses and takes off in his ship.

  • right..

  • I remember this, I was relieved when I finally beat System Shock and it was exciting game back in the day.

  • It's prolly a brand new computer i never did finish this game since it came out when i was a kid...now i feel old..But for short endings (wich bug me) that one fits fine ^_^

  • Never got the beat system shock i was to young at the time but the cd rom version rocked :) thats really the ending :(...well i never knew there was a system shock 2 guess whats being downloaded now :)

  • This combat suit on the screen at the beginning is the terra nova combat gear. Terra nova was the game after system shock from looking glass...I love both of them.

  • best game ever

  • Ahhh love that tune

  • Awesome game, too bad it was not very well know :( At least it got excellent reviews.

  • hell yeah they don't make em like they used to

    also unban keep it real.

  • ok, thx cptwinky42 for the text. I completely forgot about it...man, this is such a long time...the memories...

  • you are my hero for putting this vid online! I haven't seen that in years!

I always wondered if that is Rebecca Lansing after Shodan is destroyed and what she is actually giving you there...? Money? Better Computer? Any idea? I assume the last one...

Boy, there was no game that haunted me on all levels like this one...

  • unban keep it real ya heard me

  • ends like the matrix

  • or matrix endes like System Shock 1 ^_^

  • Or System shock and Matrix end like TRON
