  • I'm an artist myself an I find that shading makes fugures look more 3D.

  • Yes but, it's also often a cheap way to compensate for weak line work. I'm not saying that's your situation, but I see it a lot on mediocre painters and sketch artists. Anybody can make a drawing look "real" with a blend stump and loads of creases, but really capturing the spirit of something is far more rare and impressive a talent.

  • Wow! I saw this and thought "Hey... that's the back of Dan's head... I was there!" and then I went to your website- I LOVED "Seize the Night" it was one of my favorites at the Prom! I watched the whole thing with my mouth wide open because I was just stunned by- well all of it! Could you upload it?
