That's true. He should have allowed a fan crazy enough to enter the rink to approach a fellow referee without doing anything. Nobody knows if that guy is some lunatic who is about to assault someone. If you are dumb enough to enter the field of play (or ice) during a sporting event, you deserve to be hit, tackled, tased, or whatever else is necessary to restrain your dumb ass.
