This reminds me of my mother. She use to sing my brother and I to sleep every night and tell use not to worry or fret because when we woke up she would still be there for us. It makes me want to cry because I can no longer count on that promise, when every morning I wake up I know she can't be there for me any more. This song fits so well with the emotional game Trish unknowingly plays on Dante for her resemblance to his mother, and it's somehow both euphoric and tragic at the same time when you've cleared the game and you see the picture of Dante's mom and the pendant.

Makes me think back to the way things were, before 2004 when everything went to hell.

This theme is now me and my now Broken up Girlfriend. Who i still love and she says she will come back to me in the future so we can date again and maybe get married which she still believes in. The lucky thing is we are still best friends and we were before we dated. I love her so much. Whenever i think of her or if something were to happen to her like Death or anything. This song of all versions in the game is her song to me and thank capcom for this wonderful soundtrack.

This song is just so sad. It really captures the feeling Dante must have had when he defeated Mundus. Sure he's dead and he got his revenge, but his mother and Vergil are still dead. All Dante could really do was rid the world of one more evil being. He can't bring back his mom or his brother. In the song, you can hear Dante trying to move on with his life.
