Theres an interesting story about theese chimps. Around 1980 or so, stephen king was in new york and some street peddler was selling cymbal monkeys, and they really freaked him out. When king got back to his hotel, he wrote on of his best short storys, "The monkey". Researching cymbal monkeys, i discovered that around 1980 street vendors in new york were selling a model known as " charley chimp", which has led me to believe that this very model of cymbal monkey freaked stephen king!!!!!!
