I was living in Amsterdam yrs ago when I became aware of the first problem with Muslim schools. Unlike in England, the Dutch govt fully paid for special interest/faith schools, and so in Islamic neighbourhoods. The first row came up when an elementary school refused to take non Muslim pupils from the neighbourhood, who technically had the right to attend their nearest school. Claiming special privelege, the school won the right to keep out the infidel kids

I respect her a lot, and she is one of the few that calls things by their name. I do disagree with her on a lot of things though. I strongly believe in the first amendment of the US constitution, and it would be a repression of a different kind to impose a secular dress code on everyone. Culture and freedom of expression of it shouldn't be hindered unless it impinges on the security of another human being. A hijab, a yamachah, or whatnot poses no security risk to anyone. Does anyone agree?

A hijab definitely does represent a security threat when the wearing of it is demanded in all circumstances

For example: A murderer of a policewoman who escaped from the UK by walking through Heathrow wearing a burka -no one dared ask to see "her" face because of PC values.

The decision to allow veiled voting in Canada.

The court case in the US to allow a Muslim woman to use a picture of her veiled on her drivers licence

The hijab itself is a cloth, but is used as a tool of Islamic imperialism

I agree..unfortunately my Country Canada is doing the same thing as Europe. I hope that the Liberals can actually open their eyes to see what Hirshi Ali is really saying.

Liberals in Canada opened the door for these muslim migrants from Europe. Liberals preached multi-cultrualism, but Canada did not realize its adverse long term impact on this. Muslims from Europe and else where flocked and came in droves into Canada. They suceeded and caused a lot of trouble in Europe . Now they come to North America with an agenda - Islamitization of North America. Like in Europe, it's happening here!

Yes, if her whole life story is a wholesale fabricated sob story, then her credibility is shaky at best. Her family arranged for her to have an arranged marriage ( not a forced one )to which she gave her consent. She was not escaping an ``awful'' situation at all but a better life in Canada which her family was trying to give her.

We must listen to the dissedents from Islam to truly understand our current situation. Just as we learned from the Communist dissedents, Islamic dissedents teach us well. Islam is not just a religion, it is a political manifesto. There will never be seperation of mosque and state in Islam. Islam is not subject to critical text analysis as Judiasm and Christianity is. For a Muslim, what is in the Koran holds true for all time and can not be modified to fit into modernity.

It is absolutely fascinating !

It sends me on a emotional roller coster. Sometimes I laugh, and sometimes I cry. Always it makes me thankful that I live in a free country.

This is the first time I have seen Hirsi Ali and i must say I rarely get to see such a brave and intellectual person with an integrity stronger then Mount Everest. Ayaan Hirsi Ali may you have a long and prosperous life.

Just this week an (Iranien) ex-muslim who established an ex-muslim organization here in The Netherlands was beaten up in The Hague by 3 people (1 Somalien and 2 morocons). Also the girl-friend who was with him got beaten up. After this he got numerous death threats and phonecalls from people only shouting 'Allah Akbar'. This is the way muslims treat ex-muslims. Now he has to be protected, this means that he will become a prisoner. He cannot go anywhere anymore on his own.
