I was living in Amsterdam yrs ago when I became aware of the first problem with Muslim schools. Unlike in England, the Dutch govt fully paid for special interest/faith schools, and so in Islamic neighbourhoods. The first row came up when an elementary school refused to take non Muslim pupils from the neighbourhood, who technically had the right to attend their nearest school. Claiming special privelege, the school won the right to keep out the infidel kids
Anyone viewing this section, needs to listen to the Muslim man's question at the end of prior section to understand her answer at the beginning of this one.
Gus van Dongen,an experienced TV journalist highlighted the fact that Ayaan had falsified her original asylum application in Holland, and she had not come from war-torn Somalia as she claimed, but from Kenya, where she had lived peacefully for 10 years. The fact that she had lied was well-known,retorted Ayaan, making the point that was she was fleeing a forced marriage. Dutch TV using testimony from her brother and husband to allege that the marriage was not made under compulsion.
I respect her a lot, and she is one of the few that calls things by their name. I do disagree with her on a lot of things though. I strongly believe in the first amendment of the US constitution, and it would be a repression of a different kind to impose a secular dress code on everyone. Culture and freedom of expression of it shouldn't be hindered unless it impinges on the security of another human being. A hijab, a yamachah, or whatnot poses no security risk to anyone. Does anyone agree?
A hijab definitely does represent a security threat when the wearing of it is demanded in all circumstances
For example: A murderer of a policewoman who escaped from the UK by walking through Heathrow wearing a burka -no one dared ask to see "her" face because of PC values.
The decision to allow veiled voting in Canada.
The court case in the US to allow a Muslim woman to use a picture of her veiled on her drivers licence
The hijab itself is a cloth, but is used as a tool of Islamic imperialism
thank you for posting this! what a great interview. it's an excellent overview of her position on many crucial issues. she is such a vital example of human courage and critical thinking.
I agree..unfortunately my Country Canada is doing the same thing as Europe. I hope that the Liberals can actually open their eyes to see what Hirshi Ali is really saying.
Liberals in Canada opened the door for these muslim migrants from Europe. Liberals preached multi-cultrualism, but Canada did not realize its adverse long term impact on this. Muslims from Europe and else where flocked and came in droves into Canada. They suceeded and caused a lot of trouble in Europe . Now they come to North America with an agenda - Islamitization of North America. Like in Europe, it's happening here!
The facts about this hateful woman should be well known. She lied about her age, her name, her place of origin, her abusive family that wasnt, her ``forced'' marriage that was actually an arranged, consensual one, her being absent at her own marriage, when in fact she was present at it, her family's threats of ``honour killings'' when in fact she met them amicably on at least one occasions. So here is the bottom line - the woman's life history is a pack of fabrications. Deserves credibility ?NO
None of the things you mentioned have anything to do with the credibility of her message. Lying to escape an awful situation does not make a person unreliable.
Yes, if her whole life story is a wholesale fabricated sob story, then her credibility is shaky at best. Her family arranged for her to have an arranged marriage ( not a forced one )to which she gave her consent. She was not escaping an ``awful'' situation at all but a better life in Canada which her family was trying to give her.
Why do Western right wingers always believe in useful liars like Hirsi Ali and Ahmed Chalabi ? Learn the facts - her life story was concocted !!!
We must listen to the dissedents from Islam to truly understand our current situation. Just as we learned from the Communist dissedents, Islamic dissedents teach us well. Islam is not just a religion, it is a political manifesto. There will never be seperation of mosque and state in Islam. Islam is not subject to critical text analysis as Judiasm and Christianity is. For a Muslim, what is in the Koran holds true for all time and can not be modified to fit into modernity.
This is the first time I have seen Hirsi Ali and i must say I rarely get to see such a brave and intellectual person with an integrity stronger then Mount Everest. Ayaan Hirsi Ali may you have a long and prosperous life.
Islamism is equally virulent as an ideology as is Communism or Fascism. Millions were killed in the battle to defeat these competing societies.
If you think Islamism will be defeated without equivalent costs, you are in denial. Hopefully the World will survive this inevitable confrontation. No I am not being sensationalist. Melancholly is an understatement.
that was very good...as an ex muslim myself (actually i don't like being called that, i was more only brought up muslim), i find her truthful and brave. one of the things i would love to do in life is have a talk with her...i don't agree with some of her comments, but i do think we would enjoy a really great conversation.
I posted previous comment also on this vid on youtube watch?v=xijkPF3fAho (Islam: Apostates and The Media). Now my comment there is gone and I'm blocked. They can't handle freedom or the truth for that matter.
Just this week an (Iranien) ex-muslim who established an ex-muslim organization here in The Netherlands was beaten up in The Hague by 3 people (1 Somalien and 2 morocons). Also the girl-friend who was with him got beaten up. After this he got numerous death threats and phonecalls from people only shouting 'Allah Akbar'. This is the way muslims treat ex-muslims. Now he has to be protected, this means that he will become a prisoner. He cannot go anywhere anymore on his own.
Thank you for posting this. The word must be spread, and it is best spread from the mouth of a former Muslim. If Christians say these things we are called intolerant. We need more of this.

I have just started reading through Ayaan Hirsi Ali, book "Infidel".
It is absolutely fascinating !
It sends me on a emotional roller coster. Sometimes I laugh, and sometimes I cry. Always it makes me thankful that I live in a free country.
May her book never be banned.
