I've heard what this song is supposed to be about, but the incredible simplicity of this tune and lyric makes me think metaphorically of the last days of the International Brigades. Sad but full of hope. One day someone will make that film and this will be the sound track of the most poignant but penultimate scene. A superb song about the love of a brother and death.
