Paolo Grazia suona Pasculli (oboe)

What superb playing......I have never heard this oboist before so what a revelation. There are some totally great players from so many different styles of playing on you-tube - I am generally not a fan of the really showy pieces but this is SO good!

Io voglio dire solo una cosa, a criticare Paolo Grazia bisogna avere una bella faccia tosta..!!! Ah, se sapeste fare almeno la millesima parte di questo grande obista italiano. A voi GENI senza speranza, ma siete in grado almeno di saperlo suonare questo stupendo strumento..???? Io dico francamente che chi critica è solo un somaro..!

Pasculli era un grande oboista e virtuoso dell'oboe, che componeva fantasie virtuosistiche per lo strumento!!!!!

@MrGipeto66 Es música virtuosa del XIX, como puede ser la música de Paganini para el violín. Tiene su encanto, y su dificultad para los intérpretes. Para los oboístas es un reto, no esencial, pero sí interesante. Bravo por Paolo Grazia

It is amazing that this thought process still exists on the planet: that people must be pillars of stone to play music. That kind of cavalier thought sends us backwards. If you don't like to watch a musician, don't. But don't expect me to jump on your ridiculous bandwagon. This is exquisite music. Close your eyes, if you must, but don't vilify people with your draconian notions of propriety.

A Yamaha oboe? Seriously? So I should trade in my Loree Royal for a Yamaha? I don't care what oboe it is. A great sound and great technique! This guy could make a signet oboe sound great! I agree with simooboe that this is a great quality video. Great sound. You just can't say anything negative about this guy's playing.

@pellegrin66 sei sicuro? io ho visto un suo concerto l'anno scorso e mi pareva avesse un Patricola.. anche perchè, detto tra noi, gli oboi Yamaha non sono un gran chè.. e parlo da oboista.. poi per carità, Paolo sarà stato direttamente in Giappone a farselo fare, però boh.. notoriamente gli oboi Yamaha sono "giocattolini"..

@pellegrin66 bah, insomma.. oltre ad essere oboista ho anche un negozio di strumenti musicali e di oboi yamaha ne ho venduti 2 negli ultimi 3 anni, ed entrambi sono dovuti tornare indietro in quanto difettosi. Invece i Patricola vanno che è una meraviglia, mai un problema e suono strepitoso

This is by far the best oboe video uploaded in youtube.He plays superb,like i listen to a CD recording, so perfect. by the way this italian conductor came to Sofia,Bulgaria with this orchestra(i think) and they played a clarinet virtuozo piece and a woman played Marcello c-moll(very good).Where is this oboist from,is he a teacher(professor)?
