Germany will not be competing in the 2011 Solar Decathlon. I was looking forward to see Team Germany from Technische Universität Darmstadt, win 3 in a row.

Most solar PV modules are self cleaning so wont need maintenance. Its a special coating/textrure on the plastic.

Also, off you look, the fixings of the solar panels are covered by the panels above them making them impossible to remove.

This building is amazing.
