My girlfriend, Lorrie Carter, once told me that the women up at "The Fold" were simply wild about Leroy. I screwed my face up at her and said "Euw, but he chews tobacco!" She said, "Oh they don't care. Women up there all chew tabacco too!" ha.
I Love Leroy Troy. I especially love this old Uncle Dave Macon song. Larry Perkins & Friends CD a Touch of the Past, Leroy Troy does a version of "Keep My Skillet Good and Greasy" that is not to be missed. A Touch of the Past is one of my favorite CD's of all time.
wow darn good! love the way leroy flips the banjo .aint seen anything like it until leroys appearance on the Reno Bro.s some years ago. keep up the great work and keep pickin and singin.
Troy is great. I'll never forget the time I drove him to a store .. he was here in the county visiting for the Stringbean Memorial Festival. And Troy kept looking down the long isle of soft drinks and said, "I never saw so much soda pop in my life." I'll never forget that day.
Title "Keep my skillet good and greasy", played by Uncle Dave Macon in the early days of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. If you ever get a chance to see Leroy Troy, do it. I saw him at Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro once- great showmanship is correct!

Skillet Good and Greasy. Though Leroy Troy is good, nothing beats Uncle Dave.
