  • I have seen ALL your Videos!?! I think you should come out with a how to DVD on the subject. Having said that, here is my question. How do you make your foreshafts? I sit in my living room carving mine out of old broom sticks I find at work. My wife has a fit of course!! Anyway how DO you make yours? I have not seen you show that in your videos so far that is. Cool videos HOPE you keep it up, Joseph (FLY) Thomas Brendel III fly2000jtb youtube name

  • Thanks for the kind words. I'm just having a good time making stuff, and using the youtube video thing as a way to share with other people on the discussion forum I run - PaleoPlanet. You should come join us there. I never tried a fork/cord atlatl. There is a guy on PaleoPlanet who uses them all the time. He has a bit writtein up on them on the Primitiveways website. Which one are you talking about found in Nevada? I didn't know there was actual evidence of the fork/cord atlatl. Tom

  • that's how you got me there Tom. =P

  • Your videos absolutely amaze me; I love seeing what you have done here.

I'm an anthropology major with an interest with language and primitive technologies, and your videos astound me with the skill you have shown.

When I make my atlatl, though, I'm probably going to use a fork-and-chord model, because it is easier and probably faster to load- a model was found in Nevada in the early 1900s.

Thank you so very much for your excellent videos.
