And i know a few people who are living here now that werent raised in minnesota, they say I DO talk like a minnesotan. Awe well, I love it. We may be made fun of for it, but i get to watch HGTV and Holms on Homes and I cant tell a difference in how they talk! Whenever i hear a canadian minnesotan accent feels like home xD

I grew up in Northern NY near the Canadian border and other than the different accent, the folks up there are alot like that...What a slice of Americana. Ha! My dad had a green parka just like that! i love this scene. THis scene was not shot in Brainard but in Hallock MN a city 20 mi south of the canadian boarder. This is where my father grew up. My grandparents lived a couple of blocks away from this guys house and two houses down from the elevator in the background
