Just before he dies as a side casualty during a fight with Doc Ock, he reveals that to Spidey, and asks him to take care of Gwen.

What I don't get is Joker's costume. In the movie, it was a flight suit with a tricked-out helmet to give everyone the creeps. In the original TV show . . . not quite sure, either (but I think by that point the guy behind THAT mask was seriously losing the sanity battle to the Globulin Green). And for Harry, a quasigeek that might've played World of Warcraft or something with Peter in their spare time, it makes sense. But why does it make sense for the other Osborn?

In my point of view, the best thing about spider-man is that he never gives up, always learns from his mistakes, the character is complete and there's always a lesson at the end of each episode.
