@luap1236 because speed is a really obvious improvement. easy to point out. don't worry, the appreciation of expression is still there, it comes from people who know abt the instrument. i used to get annoyed abt the worship of speed, too. nowadays i sold my soul some, and with all the instruments i play, i have practised couple of combinations that are easy to speed up, playing live to a "non-musical audience" those are easy way to shake people to start paying more attention to what else i do.
your playing is almost there, but you should never compromise clarity of tone for speed. you could play at this speed a lot more clearly if you slowed down just a tad and worked on your technique at that speed. just IMHO. one seasoned tabla player to another.
@sabotage139 i wouldn't say his dayan is out of tune... just low. my primary dayan is like that too. if his is anything like mine, it probably just has a really thick syahi.

at 0:31 going unto 0:32 a little pause there, where the beat is dhadegedha dhagena tin tin na, but still tis good, very good, caz rememebr the recording, it that piece was played through good mics, it would sound great, i have finished listenning to it yet, i jus sopt that pause thas all
