@larsupreme Good ear, Larsupreme. I found in Darlene's book, 'My Name Is Love', (regarding "Stoney End") "Some of the chorus parts were too high for me, so Jean took the lead...". And there ya go!

And congrats to Ms. Love for making it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I can't say like this version but glad it exists.

Laura Nyro left this world too early but because of her song writing and "business" sense she had enough money to have a comfortable life, cover medical expenses and make many charitable donations. RIP Laura.
