I am truly humbled. At 15 years old, I am still playing this piece at a similar quality as this talented individual. I can only imagine what he will be playing when he reaches my age. Bravo, little dude.
awwww he's a cutey with his tiny little cello and his skills!! oh, i just wanna pinch his tiny little talented cheeks.
He really did play this beautifully! I am in awe! And he has it memorized! Good for him! He's going to be awesome when he gets older if he chooses to stick with this cello thing
Well done, young man! As an adult cello student who is currently learning this piece, I admire his skill, and at such a young age. Bravo! Three cheers!
But you should not blame the child for playing that piece. You should not blame the teacher either.
That kid played exceptionally well for a piece like that. It's not like he sounded horrible. A few mistakes here and there, yes, but intonation is well played for such a young person.

Being only seven does not excuse poor intonation and a scratch bow. The piece is obviously too difficult for him. He would be better served by playing something more appropriate to his skill level and playing it well. There is a big difference between playing notes and playing music. Here, he got most of the notes (although too many of them were out of tune) and not enough of the music.
I don't put myself out on You Tube. He does. So it seems to me that the issue is not whether I can play it better, but whether he can. There are many things I cannot do. I'm not a hen so I don't know how to lay an egg, but that doesn't mean I don't how to smell one that's rotten. I have no doubt that one day he will play better than I, but until that happens, he should confine himself to pieces he can play, preferably in tune.
however, DO NOT MAKE A YOUNG KID PLAY AN EMOTIONAL PIECE! their brains are NOT made to play something emotional. give them something FUN to play. Its good that you want to push them to do their best and get them interested in classical and romantic music, but start them off with something fun. However, this Sonata is FUN to play, only if you know HOW to play it the RIGHT way. GREAT job kid!

Only a person who does not play as well as someone else would say something like this.
A person who thinks he or she knows, is a person who doesn't.
This child will most certainly outplay you in no time.

@fasteddie5439 You're a dipshit who can't appreciate talent. Any decent musican can see how pathetic you really sound.
