Just cause a company is older doesn't mean it's better. 8800 series killed ATi. gtx 295 beat out the highly anticipated 4870 x2. and then fermi is gonna take them out. again. and again. and again. and to recap, physx isn't gonna be with ATi cause physx is by ageia, which is bought by nvidia. And ATi already has stream, but CUDA is far more perfected. and again, just cause it's older.. doesn't mean its better.

i bought this card on tiger direct and when arrived it to my home, there wasnt hdmi port, just one dvi to hdmi converter and i connected to my lcd tv and really looks bad trugh the hdmi

If it looks bad with the dvi to hdmi adapter it would look just as bad if the card had an hdmi port. Think of hdmi as just a smaller version of dvi. All the wires and connections are exactly the same. The only difference is the hdmi connector is smaller. Maybe the problem is your TV.

This card will run on 2560 x 1600 high end monitors with something like cod 4 running 70fps. I got a 8800gts 512 and doing dual monitor in horizontal desktop, (each monitor is 2048x 1536 res), i've run games of 4096 x 1536 which is playable on just 1 card. This baby here is all your ever need and will run the future uhd tvs which will be 1600 p (2056 x 1600). Awsome card.

GTX 295 is more geared towards a 24 inch which supports 1920x1080. A GTX 275/260 core would be perfect for 19inch.

I would just wait for the 300 series coming out soon though... which will have DX11. If you plan on getting Windows 7.

I just got a Palit GTX 295 and it overclocks like mad. It does 35FPS in Crysis Very High, 1920x1080 with 4xAA!!!! It runs well with my PSU to which is OCZ 600W (Recomended 680W)!!! If you want high end gaming then you should get the GTX 295 (But wait for GTX 3xx now for DX11)!!!

hey,ive got the 295 gtx,its a BFG and my good god,it overclocks like a banshee,its at 576 mhz stock core clock,1242 mhz shader clocks,and 999 mhz memory clocks.i run mine at 650 core,1450 shaders and 1150 memory with the fan at 65 or 75% .i love it!dead stable!

why is anyone interested in this card if your not willing to upgrade your psu?650 watt minimum.dont bother with less ever ,ok!!

In the specs for the card, I believe it says you need a 680W psu. They are taking into account your system has other parts to power when they give you this number. They are also taking into account that you may have a shitty psu. If you have a good brand like antec, corsair, or pc Power & Cooling, you could do it like on a 550W.

well the gtx 295 has higher benchmarks in any game.. only up to resolutions of 1920x1200. any thing above that such as 2560X1600.the 4870x2 will win. but on 95% of games the gtx 295 will smash

I've read that in Crysis Warhead the GTX 295 gets better FPS at 2560x1600 than the 4870x2 gets at 1680x1050.
